Gibbston Tavern is a family owned and operated Kiwi style Tavern in the heart of Gibbston Wine Country. Proudly serving local craft beers and wine all matched with food that is served simply and deliciously.

We are moving into our busy time and we are on the lookout for a new Chef to join our kitchen team to start asap

Long term permanent position available

This position is for someone who has a true passion for food, bringing a lively energy to their dishes as well as to the team culture. We’re already famous for our wood fired pizza, now is your chance to join our awesome team

What we’re looking for:

Someone with 1+ years experience in a kitchen

A passion for food and a willingness to learn

A team player who will thrive in a fast paced environment

Someone with excellent time management and planning skills

A person who is able to juggle multiple tasks and able to get stuck into all jobs in the kitchen.

Weekend work essential

What we’re offering:

Minimum 30 hours for fulltime

Competitive hourly wages

Free parking and no traffic to contend with

Sociable hours (say goodbye to late nights & early mornings)

Requirements:

Must have accommodation in Queenstown (we are unable to provide accommodation)

A car/ mode of transport to travel to Gibbston, there is no public transport out this way

A healthy CV with references available

Immediate start required

You must have the rights to live and work in New Zealand

CELLAR DOOR HOST

- Sales-driven, with a genuine interest in wine, spirits, and liqueurs
- Great banter (for customers and with our team)

- Must have the legal right to live & work in NZ
- Must have your own transport to Gibbston (we're paradise... but buses don't love us)
