Tough day at the office today for the team. Registering only their second loss of the season. But Lewis was putting in overtime. Non stop giving it his all on and off the ball. May not have won the game but definitely won over a few fans. Keep up the great effort Lewis.

Seventeen years! Can you believe it?! 🎉

Fat Pigeon Cafe has been fluttering around this community for seventeen years - that’s a lot of coffees, cakes, catch-ups, and the kind of conversations that can only happen over a really good flat white.

We’ve watched kids grow up, we’ve bought kids up, watched this town grow up, and somehow we just keep going — a little rounder, a little wiser, and just as passionate about good food and good people.

Fourteen years of late-night feeds, cold drinks, warm beds, and even warmer company. Fourteen years of travellers becoming regulars, strangers becoming friends, and Piopio being a place people want to stop.

Fat Fantail brings us together with our flock - Fat Pigeon Cafe, Fat Owl Motel, Bar & Eatery, and Fat Kiwi Cafe. Each store has its own unique personality, but we share the same values, passion for great customer experiences, and love of creating spaces people enjoy visiting.

The fantail is a much-loved New Zealand bird, known for its friendly nature, curiosity, and ability to brighten your day, qualities we hope you'll find every time you visit us.
