Unfortunately our kitchen team has been hit hard with illness, so we’ll be operating on a limited menu tonight.

Our drinks are still pouring and our bar snacks are super tasty, we recommend trying them out!

Today we said goodbye to one of the good ones. 💔

Many of you will have known Bill through his time at Seumus’, whether it was sharing a pint, a story, a laugh, or simply being part of the furniture around here for so many years.

After what has been an incredibly tough and long battle following surgery last year, we were deeply saddened to hear of his passing today.

He fought hard right until the end, and our hearts go out to his family, friends, and everyone who loved him.

Pubs are built on people, and Bill was very much part of ours. He’ll be missed more than words can say.

Bit of a full circle moment happening in the kitchen at Seumus’.

After two awesome years, our chef Sohel is heading off onto his next adventure to study in CHCH. We’re hugely grateful for everything he’s brought to the team - consistency, hard work, plenty of laughs, and some seriously good food along the way 🍴

What makes it even more special is that the chef before him (who was with us for 7 years) Satish is stepping back in to hold the fort for a couple of weeks. Back in the day he actually handed things over to Sohel who’s now handing the reins back over… so it all feels pretty fitting really.

Hospitality can be a revolving door at times, but moments like this remind you how strong the connections in this industry can be.
