She needs no introduction, but here’s Tarn! 👋
If you’re a local, or if you’ve spent any time at The Jolly over the years, chances are you already know her.
Tarn worked her very first shift in the Jolly kitchen at just 14 years old, and decided pretty early on that one day she was going to own the place.
Well... she bloody did it. 🍻
Over the years she’s worked alongside her brother, cousins, plenty of friends and a whole lot of great people. Now, as part owner alongside her husband Ryan and Mike, she gets to help take care of the place that has been such a huge part of her life.
For Tarn, The Jolly has always felt like home, and that’s exactly how she wants it to feel for everyone who walks through the doors. A place where the staff love being here, the locals feel like part of the furniture, and visitors are made to feel like locals pretty quickly.
Her favourite thing about working here? The people. Hands down. She’s incredibly grateful for the whānau behind her, for Mike and the knowledge and support he brings, and for the bloody good crew who keep the place ticking every day.
From her first shift at 14 to owning the place she’s always loved... We reckon 14-year-old Tarn would be pretty bloody proud ❤️
