When you've been advised that it's the end of Palmerston North - it's best that you head down to Brew Union to have a nice cold pint and wait for all this to blow over.

2 - Brew Union is still the best place to have a cold pint - because we actually make the beer, just for you (and anyone else looking for a cold pint whilst waiting for whatever it may be to resolve itself).

One of the staples on our cocktail menu is a good ol’ espresso martini. And what’s not to love? Unless you’re not into coffee… (sad). 😏

Ya'll need some warming up as it gets colder, so we've put together the perfect cocktail this week to sort that out!

Loosely based on the building blocks of a Paloma, we have infused some tequila with chilli as the base of this beauty, before adding citrus to cut thru in the form of lime, along with Grapefruit juice and pomegranate syrup, before finally topping up with a spicy Ginger Beer to give that little kick more complexity...

Oh... and we figured we gotta make it look good for the so we'll chuck some house made chilli salt on the rim along with dehydrated grapefruit and crystalised ginger - because the phone drinks before you do.

We've gone "posh" with our cocktail special this week adding a very English twist to what we are calling a Tom Collins: Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup and Soda, but we have infused our own Brew Union Gin with English Breakfast Tea!

You'll be singing "Rule, Brittania!" after sipping on one of these - with your pinky out of course - Or you'll exclaim "goodness me, they know what they're doing, I best have another one! - Hoorah!"

Old mate has racked up decades of digging for vinyl, as well as gigging and dancefloor delivery from Wellington to London and beyond. Pop on down tonight for a musical menu of malty disco, fresh hopped electronica, hazy post punk, and juicy rock'n'roll.
