Fam,

When we shared the news of Libre's closure, the response genuinely moved us. Your messages, your bookings (so many bookings), and the warmth you've shown has meant everything, and made these final days really special.

It's with a heavy heart that we need to let you know our final day of trade will now be this Saturday, 14th March. Limited staffing and resources have made it impossible to continue through to our originally planned close and deliver the service and experience we want for both you and for our team. We felt it right to be upfront and bow out gracefully.

Saturday will be a celebration, and we are heavily booked, but if you have a moment, drop by, raise a glass, and help us say goodbye the right way.

If you're holding a Libre voucher, we'll be reaching out directly by email where we have your details. If we don't have your details, or you don't hear from us, please get in touch at [email protected] and we'll make sure you're taken care of.
Thank you. For every taco, every margarita, every occasion. It has been an absolute honour.

Libre might be saying farewell this month - but that doesn't mean we can't go out with a bang and spoil you all with cocktails before we go!

We'll be slinging all new cocktails right up until the end 🍻

The first of our final cocktail offerings is the Caffiend 😈 - a devilishly good blend of spiced rum, berries, and cold brew coffee, all topped off with a layer of salted vanilla cold foam and just a dash of cinnamon ☕️🍹

Move over Expresso Martinis - this drink might just be your new best friend.

It's time to say farewell, Palmy.

After more than five years, Libre will be closing its doors on Saturday 28th March 2026.

We opened on Valentine's Day 2020 with big dreams and a lot of love, and then seven days later Covid arrived in NZ and promptly kicked us in the butt. But we kept going, and what followed has been one of the most rewarding rides we could have imagined.

We grew into something we're genuinely proud of: a regional food destination recognised by Cuisine Magazine in 2025, and 2025 Plate of Origin Bar Category winner alongside being Palmys favourite destination for creative cocktails.

None of that happens without you, customers from across the region who've walked through our doors, brought your families, celebrated your milestones, and kept coming back for another margarita. Thank you, sincerely.

A very special thank you to our incredible team. Working alongside you has been a privilege. Several of our crew are now looking for their next opportunity, if you're hiring in hospitality and want talented, award-winning people, please get in touch.

And to our Loteria family over the years big thanks to the Centrepoint team who have hosted, Loteria has raised more than $75,000 for local charities, including over $15,000 last year alone. That's a legacy that outlasts any restaurant. For those hoping to host a Loteria from April onwards, we are sorry we can no longer host these events. We will still be hosting Loterias scheduled for March.

Apologies to everyone who has booked in for our Valentine's Day Set Menu, but we've had to make a last minute ammendment to our dessert offering, due to unforeseen stock supply issues. 💔

The set menu will now be coming with a delicious, creamy Tres Leche cake for you to share, paired with fresh summer strawberries and cream. While it may not be the churros platter you were promised, we guarantee it'll still be the perfect, romantic sweet treat to end the night!
