We’re proud to share that Jenna has been named in the Top 32 of the Sommelier Awards.

As a locally owned and operated wine bar, we’re lucky to have someone with so much knowledge and passion for wine at the helm of The Hour Glass and Jenna loves sharing that knowledge with others.

Six standout New Zealand wines are going head-to-head for our first Battle of Regions at The Hour Glass.

Three Chardonnays. Three Pinot Noirs. Six very different expressions from some of New Zealand’s best wine regions.

Francis “The Wine Knight” will take you through the line-up, with tapas served throughout the evening to complement the wines.

We’re bringing something new to The Hour Glass with Francis “The Wine Knight” an evening dedicated to two of New Zealand’s most loved wines.

You’ll taste six standout wines - three Chardonnays and three Pinot Noirs from Hawke’s Bay, Central Otago, Marlborough and Martinborough, discovering just how much the region can change what ends up in your glass.

And because good wine deserves good food, we’ll be serving tapas-style dishes throughout the evening, selected to complement the wines.

Come for the wine, enjoy the food and discover a few new favourites along the way.

Tickets are limited. Book yours now. Our last event was a sellout!
