Righto, only a few more sleeps until the Rock 2000 Countdown is happening at Crowdy !

We’re starting from 3PM this Friday with Wayne Broughamm—better known as Wazaaaaaa—on the mic.

Arbers Barbersr will be here doing rock haircuts from 3–7PM, and Devon Street Tattoo will have an artist here too if anyone feels like getting a tattoo while listening to the countdown.

We’ve also got some rock-themed cocktails planned, and when we finally find out which song has taken out number one, Dude Where's My Guitar? will be jumping on to play live.

We reckon we’ve covered just about everything. But if there’s something else you want, let us know. We might already have it planned.

Well Saturday was a bit of fun 😂

Safe to say Taranaki has no shortage of good mullets and dreads 😂 and the kids definitely gave the adults a run for their money.

Thanks heaps to everyone who entered, came down, bought raffle tickets and got behind our first Mullet & Dreadlock Comp. We had such a good day!

And a big thank you to Rock FM, Gilmours, Service Foods, Top Taste, Bidfood and Mag & Turbo for all the awesome stuff for our raffles and helping us raise money for Conductive Education!

Reckon we do it again next year?

Our girl Mel is officially a finalist for Best Front of House Personality at the 2026 Taranaki Food & Drink Awards!

Anyone who knows Mel or has been served by her at Crowdy will know she’s definitely got the personality part covered.

We’re bloody proud of you Mel Smith and a massive thank you to everyone who nominated her and helped get her into the finals.

Now we need our hospo mates to get behind her and vote!
