✨ What an unforgettable day at the stunning Moutere Hills Vineyard & Cellar Door ✨

A beautiful gathering of loved ones from across the globe, all meeting in Nelson to celebrate one very special couple.

The atmosphere was full of heart — gentle moments, meaningful glances, and a whole lot of love. The couple were an absolute delight, and the setting couldn’t have been more perfect 💛🍇

Ceremonies like this remind me how magical it is when people come together to honour a love story.

If you're dreaming of a ceremony that feels personal, relaxed, and truly you, I’d be honoured to help bring it to life 💍🌿

✨ Celebrant Life: The Bits You Don't See

I walked away from my last wedding with a full heart ...and absolutely no photos. ... Not one🫣

Because sometimes the sweetest ceremonies are the ones where you're so caught up in the moment, you forget your phone exists. 💛

It was simple, modest, intimate - the kind of wedding where everyone knows each other, the laughter is real, & the little unscripted moments become the best part of the day. ( And yes, even the flowers had a personality of their own 🌸😅)

These are the ceremonies I adore - relaxed, genuine, full of warmth, & just a touch of mischief.

If you're planning your day & want a ceremony that feels like you - not a performance, not a production... I'd love to help you bring it to life. 💕

Tell me: what's the vibe you imagine for your ceremony... heartfelt, playful, low-key, semi formal, or a mix ✨ then let's see what we can co-create.

🌳 A beautiful forest ceremony yesterday. The kind where the whole place feels alive as you wander in. As you take in the stillness, you hear the cicadas singing their hearts out, look up at the trees and hear the leaves whispering, & think 🤔 yep, this is going to be a good one. The couple were all smiles, the guests were wonderfully patient, & the whole place had that lovely "this land has been loved for a long time" feeling woven through it. Such a privilege to stand with them beneath the canopy

💞 Wedding season is buzzing along, & I'm having the best time helping couples shape ceremonies that feel like their own little pocket of wonder 🫶🫂

I officiated the loveliest wedding today. 💗
There's something really meaningful about spending time with a couple, learning what matters to them, and shaping a ceremony that feels like their relationship brought to life

Hearing guests say it felt "so them" was the highlight, 🌟 and that's exactly what I'm aiming for every time. A ceremony that's relaxed, personal, and genuinely reflective of who they are.

If you're planning your day and want a ceremony that feels natural, heartfelt, and uniquely yours, I'd love to help create that moment with you. 🌿

If you know someone planning a wedding, elopement, vow renewal, or a meaningful farewell, I’d be grateful if you shared my page or passed my name and contact details along. Your support truly means the world 😊✨

🌸 It’s been a while… but what an amazing period it's been! 🌸

I realised I haven’t posted here for some time (oops 🤭). Yet life has been full of love, laughter, learning, and some truly unforgettable moments. I’ve had the privilege of officiating many weddings and a few celebrations of life — each one unique, heartfelt, and an honour to be part of 💛

Back in October, I had my celebrant registration renewed for another year, and prior to that, I’ve kept myself busy with professional development to stay fresh, inspired, and up to date. 📃👓📖

This summer has been especially magical ☀️
I’ve officiated ceremonies in:
🌿 Miyazu Gardens
⛲ Huangshi Gardens
🌳 Isel Park
🌼 Washbourn Gardens
🏰 Venues around our region
🏡 Beautiful private homes
🏖️ And even on the warm sands of Tahuna Beach.

Every ceremony reminds me why I love this work — meeting incredible couples, families, and loved ones from all walks of life. I’ve also had the joy of working alongside amazing photographers, event managers, funeral directors, fellow celebrants, and so many other talented professionals.

One of my favourite parts of being a celebrant is connecting with people from different cultures and learning about their traditions, rituals, and ways of celebrating love and life. It’s such a gift 🌏❤️

Here’s to more love, more stories, and more beautiful moments in the months ahead 💐

You know when you hear someone describe their work, and you can hear how much they enjoy it?

That's me when I'm asked about my work as an Independent Celebrant.
I feel so honoured when a couple choose me to officiate their special day.
And privileged when I'm asked to cover their family or friends celebration of life service.

Please visit my website for more information or contact me.

National Celebrants Day is happening on Monday 20 November. It’s a special day to honour and celebrate celebrants across the country for their dedication to a range of ceremonies they perform.

Being a celebrant is not only an honour, but an incredibly special job as we take part in the most special occasions in people’s lives.

Join us, as we highlight our celebrants, showcase what they do, and celebrate our incredible team right around the country.

Sorry for my lack of sharing what I have been up to on social media. I have been busy meeting with couples planning their weddings, officiating weddings and celebrations of life ceremonies. I will share some reflections soon. ❤️

So let's start with tonight. It was such a peaceful, clear night where I had the honour of officiating a wedding ceremony for a lovely free spirited couple at their home. They have many adventures ahead of them as a married couple and I wish them safe travels.🥰

I have been very privileged to officiate a few registry weddings this week. Whether it was in their home or on the beautiful Tahuna Beach.

I love being able to provide a professional service that meets the needs of each couple.

I offer 3 different types of ceremonies and registry ceremony is one. Each couple had their own reasons for choosing a registry ceremony, and every reason is valid.

For some, they like to keep it intimate & not have the stress of lots of people or extra things to organise. It is the date that is important to them.

Others have decided to carry on with the ceremony on their special day & have a celebration with family & friends at a later date.

For others it is about cost. Finances should not stop a couple from becoming marriage partners.

Some would like to marry on a particular date & then plan a reaffirmation ceremony at a later date surrounded by their loved ones.

Why have I shared this? The anxiety created from the changing lockdown levels due to covid-19. This has caused couples to really think about what they want to remember on their special day. And for some it is about the people they wish to share that moment with them.

For those couple they may have chosen to postpone the official ceremony until those people can attend.

So what is a registry ceremony?

- it is a fixed standard civil ceremony that has set legal vows.
- it takes less than 20 minutes
- it is completed during the 3 months the marriage licence is valid ... It is not booked in advanced of that time.
- it has a maximum of 20 guests, including the Celebrant and the 2 witnesses.

Feel free to contact me if you would like to know more.
