Rod is back for another evening by the water, with a repertoire that goes from Elvis and Billy Joel to Phantom of the Opera and plenty in between.

Saturday – Young Moon

Nelson-based songwriter Trevor Montgomery brings Young Moon to The Boathouse, with an atmospheric blend of slow-burning melodies, ambient textures and introspective songwriting.

Young Moon has released music through respected indie labels in the US and played across Aotearoa, including appearances at Nelson Arts Festival and Camp Low Hum.

Bailey Poching is Doing Great. His career is going well, he’s happy, and I mean, sure, he’s been really busy since the funeral, but I’m sure that’s not at all connected to how well he’s doing!

One of Aotearoa’s most exciting comedic voices delivers his critically acclaimed solo show, digging into grief, avoidance, and the absurd notion of convincing everyone you’re okay.

Winner of Best Debut at the NZ International Comedy Fest, as seen on seen on 7 Days, and star of Netflix’s North of North.

This Friday, Craig Denham and Nathan Torvik are bringing their now-famous sing-along sessions to The Boathouse!

There are only three rules :

1) If you choose a song you’re responsible for singing it the whole way through.

2) You need at least 2 other folks who want to sing that song with you, because it’s all about everyone singing together and having a great time.

3) Come as you are: all are welcome and all songs and styles are welcome!

🔥 Saturday – Bring That Beat Back // Old School Hip-Hop Party
Saturday is a celebration of the golden era of hip-hop, with classics from the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. A party The Nomad has been wanting to throw since 1998. Only a few tix left!

There’s also $500 cash for Best Dressed, so Adidas, bucket hats, Kangols, shell suits and gold chains are very much encouraged.

Our kitchen team came up with a few very good reasons to get here before the music: seafood chowder, beef schnitzel, pork ribs, beer-battered snapper and pumpkin fettuccine are all on tonight.

Kitchen from 5pm, with Grease, Jersey Boys & The Beach Boys taking over from 8pm.
