🩷 Well… we did it. HELZ 5K Walk done. 🩷

Yesterday was one of those days that’s going to sit with us for a while, truly humbled us and blew our minds with the kindness love & support 🫶🏼

To every single person who walked, sipped, laughed, wore pink, bought a tee, donated, helped behind the scenes, welcomed our crew at the drink stops, came back to Catch afterwards or simply showed up because you care…

Thank you. Honestly you have no idea how much this filled our hearts and our energy for this fight 🙏🏻

What started as a slightly mad little idea turned into an afternoon full of good people, big laughs, a lot of love and exactly the kind of energy we wanted around Helz ✨🩷

There were plenty of steps, a few drinks, some questionable competitive moments 😂 and then the best part, everyone piling back into Catch together… and maybe a rogue sister moment where we vanished for 5 minutes finding a short cut to catch up while we had some sis chats 😉😂😂😂

For us, that was the whole point.

Not just raising money.
Showing Helz just how many people are walking beside her. 🩷

To our helpers, our Catch crew, the businesses who got behind us and everyone who gave their time, prizes, support or dollars, thank you for helping us make it happen

Special shout out to The Speight's Ale House Ocean Lodge Nelson, thesandsbrewerybarkitchen for your support and allowing your people to be part of our Catch 22 Bingo that our lovely Sophie put together- we appreciate you! 🫶🏼

WE NEED ANOTHER GOOD HUMAN AT CATCH🫶🏼 ☕️🍹

We’re looking for a Duty Manager to take the reins Thursday to Sunday, around 1pm through to sunset, with extra hours around events, functions and busy days.

This role is really about owning that Catch shift from coffee → cocktails.

We want someone with energy, personality and initiative who loves people, can run a shift and helps create the kind of place people want to hang around in.

You’ll be comfortable with:
• Running the floor and bar
• Serving drinks and looking after customers
• Simple bar food like toasties, fries and easy eats
• Coffee making ideally, or happy to learn
• Keeping things moving when it gets busy
• Taking ownership rather than waiting to be told what needs doing

A current Duty Manager’s Certificate is needed as with our focus on Helz treatment and health we need someone to hit the ground running! 🫶🏼

We’re a small team, so the right person matters more to us than a perfect CV - at Catch we are family 🫶🏼😊

Mother Nature has played nice & we’re kicking off from Catch at 1pm for the walk, a few drink stops, plenty of laughs and a whole lot of love for Helz.

And if the 5K isn’t your thing, come join us back at Catch afterwards for drinks, our signature playlist be up loud, spot prizes, a little food and the after-party bit 🍾

No pressure. No race. Just good people showing up for a very good reason.

🍹☔️ HELZ 5K WALK. SIP. SUPPORT ☔️🍹

We know Mother Nature isn’t supposed to play nice tomorrow and we have had a couple reach out so thought I’d post up what sis said when I asked her if we were still walking if it rains tomorrow…

“No we be running lol” 😂

And given that my first thought was it’s only water and the Pina Colada song started playing in my head 🥴😂

It shows how we approach the challenges in our life… tragic humour and a f**k yeah why not vibe! 😉

That said… if the rain is torrential we don’t want anyone getting sick .. especially sis.. so we will make a call at 11am and post an update on our page 💕

We also want to say thank you all so much for getting behind us with this… it truly means the world to us!! 🫶🏼

Our fundraiser tee shirts arrived this arvo so I will deliver them to Catch by 12 and we still have a couple of spares for anyone wanting one on the day 😊

Looking forward to some fun and laughs and celebrations back at Catch after the walk! 🥂
