Well, what a day that was!!!
Today was quite possibly the most difficult service we have had in our almost 5years! Perhaps Soho was struck by lightning on Friday the 13th????
Upon opening the cafe today we were plagued by issues:
The front door has broken and isn’t able to be used until new parts arrive on Monday
The till wouldn’t turn on showing nothing but a black screen- after a few restarts we thought we were back in action only to find orders were not printing to the Barista station or to the kitchen! Technical support was needed to get us up and running and we were scrambling to work out the missing dockets and affected customers!
And then…. The coffee machine decided it too was done for the day requiring our hero ‘Callum” from La Caffe Repairs to fly into action on a Saturday with a part replacement to get us back on track!
Whilst all this was happening it was Valentines Day and the Warriors are playing at McLean park bringing a big influx of customers to dine with us (this was the positive element of the day!)
It was almost unbelievable that all of these things could go wrong in a 3 hour busy period!
Myself and the team really did our best to manage this but, it did have an impact on many of our customers today 😢
I really want to thank my team who kept smiling and trying their best to work through the issues 💖but I also want to say a massive thank you to the customers who were impacted!
You showed kindness, compassion and patience towards us when we were in the trenches, many of you joked with us to help us keep us from not falling apart!!
Thank you for dining with us, supporting us and understanding the situation we found ourselves in today!
We will be back on form tomorrow (not the front door) but everything else should be back to normal 🤞 💖
