*****JUNIOR TENNIS COACHING*****2025/2026 Season
Welcome everybody to a new Summer Season of Junior Tennis Coaching at the Mangawhai Tennis Club.

Tennis coaching will start Thursday the 9th October 2025 with a Registration Day and the program will run for a duration of 8 weeks commencing the 16th October 2025. There are 10 weeks available up to Christmas to allow for possible disruptions. On Thursday the 9th October between 3.30pm and 5.00pm I will have a Registration day where I can provide all information and group times for players.
We then restart for another 8-week program when school goes back in 2026. Total of 16 weeks coaching.

All memberships to the tennis club and payments for Junior Coaching are completed online at the Mangawhai Tennis Club website. https://www.mangawhaitennis.co.nz/
Please note that to register your child as a Junior member by themselves, a Parents details must go in the registration and the child added as a Junior, your child’s D.O.B must also be included. And a parent’s email for correspondence must be included also.
Finally if you have registered a family membership which includes your children and fail to add the coaching in for payment then you must contact the club to add the coaching manually, please do not register your child a second time.

There are 9 weeks of coaching available up to Christmas to allow for possible disruptions. We then restart for another 8-week program when school goes back in 2025. Total of 16 weeks coaching.

Mangawhai Tennis Club has 6 all weather courts, with floodlight facilities. It is located at the Mangawhai Domain, next to the Domain Hall, at 75 Moir St, only 500 metres from the Village shops.

*****JUNIOR TENNIS COACHING*****2023/2024 Season
Welcome everybody to a new Summer Season of Junior Tennis Coaching at the Mangawhai Tennis Club.
Introduction and Registration Day will be 12th October 2023 which is first week of new school term from 3.30pm to 5.00pm. This is a chance to meet the Coach and ask any questions. Information provided includes what group your children will coach in, racket sales and information, emergency contact details and cancellation processes. Ball machines will be running if children want to have a hit on court. No coaching on this day.
We are planning to start coaching on Thursday 19th October 2023 starting at 3.30pm at the tennis courts in Mangawhai Domain.
Full tennis coaching program will run for a duration of 8 weeks. There are 10 weeks of coaching available up to Christmas to allow for possible disruptions.
We then restart for another 8-week program when school goes back in 2023. Total of 16 weeks coaching.

We run 3 x 1 hour groups made up of similar aged players who are assessed on age and ability to give them the best experience on the tennis court.
Group One:
4 years to 8 years
Introduction and improvement of the basic strokes and some court play
Group two:
7 years to 12 years
Improvement and introduction of some new strokes with court play and the start of point play
Group three:
10 years to 18 years (dependent on ability level)
Advanced stroke refinement and understanding how to play competitive tennis.

We are planning to start again this Thursday 21st October 2021 with a Registration and Introduction day starting at 3.30pm at the tennis courts in Mangawhai Domain.
This is a chance to meet the Coach and ask any questions and there will be the opportunity to hit a few balls from a ball machine if you like.

Information provided includes what group your children will coach in, racket sales and information, emergency contact details and cancellation processes.

Full tennis coaching program will start the following week on Thursday 28th October and runs for a duration of 8 weeks of coaching up to Christmas.
Then we restart for another 8 week program when school goes back in 2022.
