Anyway, today is the day for our Hurricanes to play James’ Blues. 7.05pm at the bar, let’s go!!! 7.35pm for the Warriors too. I think you guys can decide but probably another half time flick across? Deano will have instructions no doubt 😂❤️

We’ll be watching at The Pig & Whistle.

And it was an excellent excuse for me to go to the Hawke's Bay Farmers' Market to pick them up this morning, so good!

Hurricanes - what a game last night ❤️

Granny’s team, Crusaders, playing the Blues (James’ team) at 4.35pm today.

Chiefs on at 7.05pm (no volume obviously).

And how good is our new broccoli dish 😎 can’t even tell it’s a vegetable with all of that fluffy Parmesan 👌

Dramatic start to the day, not one but two flat tyres! Luckily, in a few weeks the car will get a lot less use and hopefully have less chance of things coming off trucks and hitting my tyres on the way in!!!

To give our country house a nice farewell we had a bonfire on our days off this week - look how happy old mate is ❤️

Tonight we’ve got the Hurricanes V Brumbies at 7.05pm!

Tomorrow we have Crusaders V Blues at 4.35pm.

Then Karaoke at 6pm!!!

We will be playing the Chiefs V Reds at 7.05pm tomorrow but the volume will be off - Karaoke rules I’m afraid 😎

No Warriors this weekend.

Thanks for understanding about our late start today - Annalisa was zooming to Hastings to rescue me! She is currently making chowder though, which is perfect for this windy weather ❤️

This could be you, Saturday night, Karaoke! Kicks off at 6pm (I’ll double check that with Paul though 😂). We had such a great night last Karaoke that we thought we would do it again.

We are still fizzing from last Saturday night’s gig - Tropical Downbeat Orchestra live in our tiny bar!!! Beyond grateful for the community and the talent in our town!!! Rumour has it this will be happening again …

In case you’re wondering why I don’t usually write the menu, here is today’s menu, written by me 😂

Morena everyone! I hope you guys are giving each other high fives today, you are by far the coolest community out!!! What a night. We actually can’t believe how our hopes for Marion’s have come in to play so quickly. And it’s all thanks to you ❤️

Willsy (can’t tag you for some reason 🤷🏻‍♀️ that’s not true, it’s because I can’t do technology!), you had an idea and made this happen. You and your mates are some of the most talented musicians around and we can’t believe how lucky we are that you want to play in our little bar. Thank you.

Happy Saturday team!!!

This little guy is off on holiday today and we are going to miss her!!! It’s only for a few weeks, don’t worry! Have the best time Maddie ❤️

Due to some unexpected staff shortages we are having to adjust our hours this weekend sorry! First time in 7 months that we will need to change our weekend hours, and we trust that you guys will understand.

Saturday 30th May 2-10pm - we are going to be a bit of a later start today but then we have live music from 7-9pm and we can’t wait!!!

Sunday 31st May 12-8pm - earlier finish tomorrow sorry guys, but we will be ready for that lazy Sunday lunch!

And, for tonight, live music night is going to be Burger Night! With a few extras of course ❤️
