Good day at riverside yesterday picking up 3rd place. With a 3rd and a 2nd in race 1 and 2 I was up there in points. Green flag dropped in last race strait away steering went heavy and ignition light went on meaning I’d lost the drive belt so no water pump, power steering or alternator instead of pulling in I kept going managed to finish about 5th with engine shutting down on last lap and now very low on compression so engine out for Beachlands on 31st. Well done to Dillon on 1st and Joel on 2nd was a great day out. Thanks to Jake for help all day at the track sorting overheating issues and lending me battery and wife and kids. “Car doesn’t need much, just fix broken rear arches” well yeah got a bit carried away done now and just boot floor, rear brake lines and door skins to go. To be fair i wasn’t that happy with last years rushed rebuild while moving house, the boot floor was 2 of my old production saloon roof skins welded together 🤦‍♂️
