Days in the garden are a firm favourite but The Old Vicarage has a differnt hum in the evening.
The rooms get moodier, the lights glow warmer and dinner starts calling. A beautifully cooked eye fillet with truffle potato purée and porcini jus. Slow-cooked lamb with pumpkin and olive tapenade or market fish with brown butter, caper and preserved lemon.

Add a cocktail to begin, a bottle from the wine list to take your time over, or a fresh craft beer straight from the tap.

If you know us best for coffee, brunch and long lunches, perhaps it’s time to meet the Old Vicarage after dark.

So this is the general idea. Chef Ciaran’s lamb shoulder is slow-cooked for hours, served with all the delicious trimmings and, in our slightly biased opinion, looks even better.
