NEXT DANCE: SAT 19 SEPT
Moving into spring is an invitation to remember that we are not separate from the rhythms of the natural world. Like the earth beginning to soften after winter, we too can emerge from our own season of hibernation... slowly at first, listening inwardly, feeling for the places where something new is beginning to stir. What has been resting, gathering energy, or quietly taking root beneath the surface is ready to meet the light.
Ecstatic Dance offers a beautiful way to embody this transition. We can let the body become the landscape of spring: shaking off what has become stagnant, stretching toward possibility, and allowing movement to awaken what has been dormant.
Spring reminds us that growth is not always dramatic. A seed does not burst immediately into a flower - it first cracks open in the darkness, sends roots downward, and only then begins reaching upward. In the dance, we can honour this whole process: the shedding, the opening, the reaching, the unfolding. We can move with the courage to leave behind what has completed its cycle, while making space for what is asking to emerge.
As we dance together, we step out of hibernation and back into relationship... with our bodies, with one another, and with the living world around us. We give ourselves permission to become more alive, more expressive and more curious. Spring becomes not simply a season outside us, but an inner movement: a thawing, an awakening - and a joyful remembering that we are always capable of beginning again.
