A little backstory on our pizzas…
After the quake, Sumner sadly lost two local favourites — The Ruptured Duck and Club Bizarre. With Rob having spent years at the helm of Winnie Bagoes QT, we knew a thing or two about great pizza.

Then came a chat with local legend Roo, who mentioned he had a pizza oven tucked away on the coast. Before long, it made its way into the Clink kitchen — where it’s been firing ever since, serving up the pizzas so many of you love each week ❤️

What a day for it. ☀️

With the final two weeks incoming, here’s what’s happening at CLINK.

We’ve decided we’re not doing one big last party - but a few good ones!
Clink has meant different things to different people over the years and we wanted to celebrate that!

Happy Hour is running daily in the bar from 5–6pm — a good excuse to swing by for a drink and soak up the vibe while it’s still here.

Our Wine Tasting with Rach has officially SOLD OUT — yah for those of you coming along, it’s going to be a really fun night.

Sunday Sessions
Live sets continue with CCC Trio making not one but two final appearances. Carmel will be missed by many for the incredible music and good vibes she always brings to her music along with the fabulous musicians she curates to play.

Three DJs spinning tunes, drink specials and dancing till late.
$10 on the door with proceeds going to Surfing for Farmers.

Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th
Winding Down the Bar
Help us clear the bar with some big cash specials. As always — plenty of good vibes and great tunes.

Dinners and lunches are filling up, so if you’re thinking about one final hurrah, we recommend booking a table.

For the final weekend we’ll be running a limited but especially good menu.

Rob and I took some time yesterday to read through all the messages, comments and emails. We're honestly blown away and so grateful for all the kind words, stories and memories — they mean the world to us.
With just three weeks to go, there are still a few last parties to throw, dinners to be had, wines to open and probably a few dances on the floor too.
If you’re planning one last meal, drink or catch-up at Clink, we do recommend booking ahead as some nights are filling up already.
Seeing that kind of support is pretty special and we’re incredibly grateful.
Let’s make these last few weeks count. ❤️

Cheers to Clink 🥂

After a lot of thought — and more than a few deep breaths — we’ve made the decision that this will be Clink’s final month and at the end of March, we’ll close our doors.

Fifteen years ago we opened Clink with a simple idea: to create a place where people could come together over good food, great drinks and easy conversation. What grew from that idea became something much bigger than we ever imagined.

Clink became our family’s living room. It’s where we raised our two beautiful kids. It’s where young staff walked in looking for their first job and left years later as adults, travellers came for a couple of months and stayed for years, talented crew who brought the smiles, the professionalism and the 'hospitality' to our service and food. It’s where friendships were formed, celebrations were held, and countless ordinary nights somehow became memorable ones.

Together we’ve seen busy summers, quiet winters, earthquakes, rebuilds, lockdowns and everything in between. But what we will remember the most is this community who showed up for us — again and again.

After an extraordinary 15-year run, we feel the time is right to finish this chapter. There isn’t a big “what’s next” plan yet. For now we’re focusing on finishing well — supporting our amazing team and celebrating the place Clink has been.

Theres a couple more parties to throw, some favourite dishes making their finale and cocktails that deserve one last toast. If Clink has ever been a part of your story, we would love to see you over the next few weeks before we close the doors for one last time.

Live Sunday Session from 2.30pm
This afternoon we have something special lined up.
Tess Liautaud and Jessie Shanks are joining us and together these two lovely musicians weave a sound as old as the hills. Writing and performing folk ballads and country-tinged tunes, their music is playful, heartfelt and full to the brom with soul.

Come grab a drink and settle in under the magnolias with some beautiful live music.

Chardonnay Tasting with Rach 🥂

I've been holding onto a few special bottles from one of our all time favourite wineries and it feels like the perfect time to open them up.
We will taste through a vertical lineup of Chardonnay Vintages 2016 - 2018 as well as the Virtuoso 2019 and explore how they have evolved over the years while enjoying three delicious morsels to nibble on throughout.
