Well, the carnival is over.

Tonight is our last night behind the bar at The Elmwood, and what an incredible 8 years it has been.

To everyone who has walked through our doors, shared a beer, celebrated life’s milestones, supported local events, had a laugh, shed a tear, or simply called The Elmwood home – thank you.

The last few weeks have been overwhelming in the best possible way. The kind words, stories, hugs, messages and support have meant more to us than you’ll ever know.

As we close this chapter, we leave with a mixed bag of emotions. Sadness to say goodbye to something that has been such a huge part of our lives, but also excitement for what comes next. Most of all, we leave feeling incredibly grateful.

The Elmwood has never just been a pub. It’s been a community, a family, and without question the best little local in New Zealand.

We would also like to wish Sam and his business partners every success as they take the reins and begin the next chapter of The Elmwood. We know the pub is in good hands and look forward to seeing it continue to thrive as the heart of the community.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives and for being part of ours.

After many incredible years at The Elmwood, the time has finally come for Naomi and I to say goodbye and begin our retirement chapter.

This Sunday from 4–6pm, we’d love for you to join us for one final drink at the best little local. The friendships, laughs, memories and support over the years have meant more to us than words can say, and we’d love the chance to celebrate with everyone one last time.

Come down, share a story, raise a glass and help us drink the place dry before we hand over the keys 🍻

What an incredible afternoon at our Pink Ribbon Lunch Quiz on Sunday 💕

Together we raised an amazing $3,000 for a cause that means so much to so many. Thank you to everyone who came along, donated, dressed up, bought raffle tickets, laughed, supported and helped make the day such a success.

It was also so special seeing old staff and crew from previous businesses come together again, sharing stories, laughs and cherished memories.

The room was filled with love, community spirit and plenty of fun, we couldn’t have done it without you all. Here’s a few snaps from a very special day 💗🎀
