Someone in your team has been told to sort the Christmas do. It's probably you.

The Mezzanine holds a group. The B**r Hall holds a bigger one. The full venue holds the lot. Steins, pizza, sharing platters, and nobody has to bring anything.

The good dates in December go early, and they go to whoever asks first.

Hand-stretched, out of the kitchen, onto the table, in that order and without much ceremony.

Nobody discusses the second one. It just turns up.

Ask anyone behind the bar which one to get and you'll get a question back first. What do you normally like the taste of?

The Vienna L***r if you want malty and toasty with a clean finish. The Hazy IPA if you're after citrus and tropical fruit - pineapple, with a bit of mint on the end. The Milk Stout if you're ready for chocolate and coffee and something smoother.

Nine Kaiser beers brewed upstairs, six of them on the paddle. The list doesn't move around much. They took a long time to get right.

Save this for the next time someone asks you where to go.
