Back to where it all started...

Looking over 40 years of passion, integrity, hard work and good times... From our beloved Dux De Lux to Dux Central (among others), it has been nothing short of an absolute blast and a true representation of our enthusiasm and love for the hospo industry!

We love what we do and feel so lucky to be able to do it with the people of Christchurch alongside us every step of the way. Our shared love for DUX is what will keep us going for years to come and, although 40 years down the line, we feel this is just the beginning!

To celebrate 40 YEARS OF DUX, Andrew aka Dj Rudeboy from Salmonella Dub will be debuting a re-mastered box set of vinyl on Friday night at Dux Central.

Here are a few words from DJ Rudeboy:
"Like with so many Christchurch bands, The Dux hosted our first Otautahi gig back on Feb 18th 1993.

Out of respect for all The Dux has done for us and NZ music we will GIVE AWAY 140 collectable CDs to the first peeps to hit the bar on Friday night,
AND we will throw down a deal on our epic 25th Birthday vinyl boxset featuring an exclusive sneaky bonus of a new tune we have written with Tiki Taane.

See you all on The Dux dancefloor. Can't wait!"

Hello Friends
It's awesome that this page is still getting likes.
Since the event in February 2011 Dux de Lux, as we all knew and loved it, ceased in that location.
Since then we have separated the the main components of Dux de Lux and formed;
Dux Dine - Seafood and Vegetarian Restaurant with capacity inside and outside in our stunning sheltered courtyard.
Dux Live - Live Music Venue and awarded the national HNZ Award for Excellence in the 'Music & Entertainment Venue' of the year for 2014 AND 2015
Dux Central - our newest four bar complex including Upper Dux Functions and Party bar. Brew Bar featuring over 180 bottled or tap beers. The Emerald Room Wine and Spirit bar with over 70 local and international wines. And The Poplar Social Club speakeasy style cocktail bar. It wouldn't be Dux without our stunning two level covered outdoor area.
each has a page so please look us up and keep up to date with what's new and exciting within our hospitality world.
