We're pretty humbled to be featured alongside so many hardworking and inspiring local women in the recent Wairarapa Times-Age "Women in Business" feature. 🌟

Although we're only at the beginning of our journey with the Castlepoint Hotel, we're excited about the future and what this special place can become.

From day one, our goal has been simple, to create a welcoming spot that locals are proud to call their own and visitors enjoy returning to, while contributing positively to the community that makes Castlepoint such a unique place.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. Whether you've stopped in for a meal, shared one of our posts, offered advice, lent a hand, or simply been patient as we work through the challenges that come with taking on a business like this, we truly appreciate it.

Thank you to the Wairarapa Times-Age for the feature and for celebrating the incredible women making a difference throughout our region.

Hi everyone,

We just wanted to give you all a quick update on where we are at right now.

Although our license process feels slow going, with guidance from MDC, we are on track with the typical application process and we expect to hear from them soon about the outcome.

Unfortunately, we don't believe that we will have an alcohol license before Kings birthday weekend, but we are planning to be ready to open our doors before the end of June or early July.

We truly appreciate all the support and messages from you all and we are looking forward to seeing you all very soon!

Can't wait
Amanda & Celeste

Today we mark ANZAC Day, a time to pause, reflect, and remember.

We honour the courage, sacrifice, and mateship of those who have served our country, both past and present. Their service has shaped the freedoms we enjoy today and reminds us of the cost at which they came.

ANZAC Day is also about community, coming together in quiet respect, sharing stories, and ensuring that the legacy of those who served is never forgotten. It’s a moment to reflect not only on history, but on the values we carry forward: resilience, respect, and looking out for one another.

Lest we forget.

📢 A Message to Our Community and those supporting us from afar 📢

With the rising costs of fuel, supplies, and day-to-day running expenses, it has become increasingly difficult for us to continue operating without the sale of alcohol as part of our business model. The alcohol licence is taking longer than we expected. But we are getting there.

Because of this, we have made the tough decision to close our doors temporarily until our licence comes through. Accomodation is still availbale. So get in touch if you're needing it somewhere to stay.

This is not a decision we have made lightly, but one we feel is necessary to ensure we can come back stronger and continue providing the service and community space we had envisioned for Castlepoint.

We are hopeful to still hold a couple of special occasions/events in the near future, so keep an eye on our page for updates.

Please bear with us during this time. We truly appreciate all of the support we’ve received so far, and we promise we will be back with you as soon as we can. ❤️

Thank you for understanding,
Manda, Celeste & The Castlepoint Hotel Team
