A little look back at last Saturday’s Supper Club, A Taste of the Sounds.

A huge thank you to Catalina Sounds for bringing such a wonderful group of people around our table. Growers, friends and familiar faces all coming together made for a pretty special atmosphere, and our busiest Supper Club yet.

Thank you to Matt for sharing the w**es, the stories and the evening with us. It was such a pleasure putting this one together, bringing back a few memories from our days in the Sounds, all alongside some beautiful Catalina Sounds w**es.

We're proud to be supporting Breast Cancer Cure's Fashion for a Cure event in Marlborough on the 29th of October.

Hosted by Breast Cancer Cure Ambassador Antonia Prebble and award-winning designer Juliette Hogan, this special evening will feature a thoughtfully curated three-course dining experience, perfectly paired with Dog Point Vineyard w**es, at the fabulous Oak & Ivy overlooking the Taylor River.

Every ticket sold helps fund life-changing breast cancer research in Aotearoa.

A little look at what’s coming to the table this Saturday.

We’ll begin with a generous seafood feast, bringing together our first three courses and showcasing some of the best produce from the Marlborough Sounds, paired with a brilliant selection of Catalina Sounds w**es.

Among them, an early taste of their Sauvignon Blanc 2026, with plenty more to discover throughout the evening.

A Taste of the Sounds.

For Series Four of our Supper Club, we’re very excited to welcome Catalina Sounds around the table.

We’re celebrating one of our favourite corners of Marlborough through its remarkable produce. Five courses will take us from a generous seafood feast to something heartier from the land, paired with a brilliant selection of Catalina Sounds w**es.

Matthew Ward will be sharing the stories behind the w**es and exploring the different styles, textures and character that set them apart. There’ll be plenty to discover, including one special release saved for the evening.

There’s a little nostalgia in this one for us. Long before Oak & Ivy, the Sounds was home. For one evening, we’re bringing a little of it back to the table.

There’s always a place for good music at Oak & Ivy.

This Thursday, we’re welcoming Southern Jam, and for one evening we’ll be turning Oak & Ivy into a speakeasy-style jazz bar.

The lights will be a little lower, the music a little louder, with a cocktail list to match the mood, good w**e and a menu created especially for the evening. Instead of our usual à la carte menu, we’ll be serving dishes made for sharing, so you can settle in, order another glass and enjoy the music.

We can’t wait to fill the room with the sound of talented young musicians from around New Zealand as part of this year’s Southern Jam Jazz Festival.

Live music from 6pm–9pm.

A proper Sunday roast.

This week, our kitchen is serving roast chicken with all the usual trimmings, crisp roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, seasonal vegetables and proper gravy.

Join us from 12pm this Sunday.

Bookings are recommended, although walk-ins are always welcome while roasts last.

There was something special about this one.

Sharing the evening with Blank Canvas reminded us why we started the Supper Club. Thank you, Matt and Sophie, for so generously sharing your w**es, your knowledge and your time with all of us. You bring so much care, thought and heart to what you do, and we’re proud to play a small part in sharing the people, w**es and stories that make Marlborough so special.

To everyone who keeps coming back, thank you for your continued support. And to everyone who joined us for the first time, welcome to the club.

For our next Supper Club, we’re welcoming Blank Canvas, a w**ery driven by curiosity, craftsmanship and a deep sense of place.

Despite hundreds of w**e dinners throughout New Zealand and around the world, Matt Thomson and Sophie Parker-Thomson MW join us for their very first w**e dinner here in Marlborough.

Each course will be paired with two w**es, exploring how place, season and w**emaking can tell very different stories.

It’s a rare opportunity to experience Blank Canvas here in Marlborough, and we’re proud to be sharing it around our table.
