A little look behind one of our favourite Marlborough ingredients.

We recently had the pleasure of heading out to the Kenepuru Sounds, where the team at Marlborough Oysters invited us to visit their farm and see their innovative FlipFarm Systems in action.

There’s something pretty special about getting to know the people behind the produce we serve, seeing how it’s grown and understanding a little more of what goes into it.

A big thank you to the team for having us and sharing a little of their world with us.

We’re really excited to be welcoming Fashion for a Cure to Oak & Ivy this October.

With an exclusive runway show featuring Juliette Hogan’s designs, Antonia Prebble hosting, and a three-course dinner paired with beautiful w**es from Dog Point Vineyard , it’s shaping up to be a brilliant evening. All in support of life-changing breast cancer research.

It’s not every day we have an event like this here in Marlborough, and we’d love to see our community get behind it.

So gather a few friends, dress up for the occasion and come make an evening of it with us.

The Summer Table | Supper Club

The warmer days are starting to arrive, and for our next Supper Club we’re leaning into everything we love about a New Zealand summer.

Together with our friends at Lake Chalice, Ed is putting together five courses inspired by those familiar summer flavours, reworked in our own way. Cooking over fire, beautiful seasonal produce, a little nostalgia and some very good w**e.

We’ll be pouring a selection of beautiful Lake Chalice w**es throughout the evening, with their brilliant w**emaker Chloe joining us around the table to share the w**es, the stories behind them and a little of what goes into making them.

We’ll also be supporting the Marlborough Falcon Trust, with $10 from every ticket going directly to the Trust. Come along, learn a little more about the incredible work they do and why their mission matters.

Inspired by the Loire. Rooted in Marlborough.

Clos Henri joins us for an evening inspired by the Loire Valley, the Garden of France, and what that idea could mean here in Marlborough.

Five courses built around some of the incredible produce grown and made in our region, paired with w**es from the Loire and Clos Henri.

Marlborough already has the growers, farmers, makers and produce. What could our food culture become if we celebrated and supported it with the same pride we’ve given our vines?

Dad, chef, owner, fixer of absolutely everything, and somehow always there for all of it. We’re incredibly proud of him and all he does for our family and Oak & Ivy.

Happy Father’s Day, Ed, and to all the dads and father figures celebrating today.

A little look back at last Saturday’s Supper Club, A Taste of the Sounds.

A huge thank you to Catalina Sounds for bringing such a wonderful group of people around our table. Growers, friends and familiar faces all coming together made for a pretty special atmosphere, and our busiest Supper Club yet.

Thank you to Matt for sharing the w**es, the stories and the evening with us. It was such a pleasure putting this one together, bringing back a few memories from our days in the Sounds, all alongside some beautiful Catalina Sounds w**es.

A little look at what’s coming to the table this Saturday.

We’ll begin with a generous seafood feast, bringing together our first three courses and showcasing some of the best produce from the Marlborough Sounds, paired with a brilliant selection of Catalina Sounds w**es.

Among them, an early taste of their Sauvignon Blanc 2026, with plenty more to discover throughout the evening.

A Taste of the Sounds.

For Series Four of our Supper Club, we’re very excited to welcome Catalina Sounds around the table.

We’re celebrating one of our favourite corners of Marlborough through its remarkable produce. Five courses will take us from a generous seafood feast to something heartier from the land, paired with a brilliant selection of Catalina Sounds w**es.

Matthew Ward will be sharing the stories behind the w**es and exploring the different styles, textures and character that set them apart. There’ll be plenty to discover, including one special release saved for the evening.

There’s a little nostalgia in this one for us. Long before Oak & Ivy, the Sounds was home. For one evening, we’re bringing a little of it back to the table.

There’s always a place for good music at Oak & Ivy.

This Thursday, we’re welcoming Southern Jam, and for one evening we’ll be turning Oak & Ivy into a speakeasy-style jazz bar.

The lights will be a little lower, the music a little louder, with a cocktail list to match the mood, good w**e and a menu created especially for the evening. Instead of our usual à la carte menu, we’ll be serving dishes made for sharing, so you can settle in, order another glass and enjoy the music.

We can’t wait to fill the room with the sound of talented young musicians from around New Zealand as part of this year’s Southern Jam Jazz Festival.

Live music from 6pm–9pm.
