It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Madame George.

After eight years of serving our K’ Road community with passion + dedication, the current economic downturn has made it impossible for us to continue.

We were truly honoured to have the chance to introduce you all to our beloved Peruvian flavours, including our renowned Pisco Sours.

We have shared countless moments of joy, growth, + resilience with our loyal customers, + we are grateful for their unwavering support.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all our exceptional suppliers for their support + partnership over the years.

A special tribute goes out to all the past + present staff members who have contributed their incredible service + warm smiles, helping shape Madame George's unforgettable legacy.

While it is time for us to take our final bow, we carry with us cherished memories of the laughter, friendship, delicious meals + fun cocktails that defined our time together.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey; you have made it truly unforgettable.

Thank you for the opportunity to chat about the amazing EAT IT campaign, Karangahape Road + Madame George.

We selected ‘Ceviche’ as our dish for the month of July, being the Peruvian, and MG’s signature dish ..so many fun memories with clients going crazy over the ‘Leche de Tigre‘, Tiger’s Milk...

note: Please feel free to comment with your own Leche de Tigre experience at MG, that may, or may not, involve a spoon and an ‘airplane’…. 😘

Our Winter hours will be:

* lunch: Wednesdays, Thursdays + Fridays, 11:30am - 2pm
* dinner: Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays + Saturdays, 4:30pm - late.

We are very grateful for the opportunity to contribute, together with other talented restaurants, to the great work that does in caring for patients and their families in our community.

This is the third year in a row that we get to share a little slice of what we do at Madame George, our flavours + smiles, and we look forward to doing it again!!

This year we introduced our Prawn Causa, prawn-filled potato croquette. ‘Causa’ is also Spanish for ‘Cause’ and Peruvian slang for ‘Mate’. ❤
