Coco's Cantina Restaurant & Bar Coco's serves local, seasonal & home-style Italian-inspired food, in the heart of Karangahape Road.

Coco's Cantina is a fun & authentic bar and dining room focusing on Pizza and Pasta. We have a good selection of antipasto which are great for snacking and sharing, and we welcome both diners and those wanting a causal drink. Opened 12 years ago Coco's is a Karangahape Road institution and Coco's locals and visitors arrive early to grab a spot street-side to enjoy the sun, Prosecco and the famous polenta chips! The food is homestyle, made from quality locally sourced produce. Suppliers are hand picked for their like-minded approach - the majority are owner operators who, like Coco's, focus on quality and craft. We believe when we treat each other well, everybody has a good time and that philosophy runs through everything we do at our restaurant. We want our staff to enjoy their work and so we have created a fun environment where they are valued and trusted. This is not your typical restaurant, we pride ourselves on our unpretentious and lively atmosphere and our no-nonsense approach to bad manners - If you haven't been before, it's like dining at a friend’s, we are inviting you in to our home.

🎟️🍕 Tickets for Treats at Coco’s is for anyone who has a ticket to a gig, show, or event that is walking distance from Karangahape.

We’re shouting out Chris Parker this week because he manifested the train station to be open in time for our Sunday session bottomless pizza party. 🚂🍕

Shame it’s not open for his show, which is tonight and tomorrow.

But to lessen the pain of not being able to ride the train — yes, I accidentally rhymed there — we are dedicating our Tickets for Treats menu to him. 💘

And a cherry margarita will be available for $17 for anyone coming in on the Tickets for Treats menu. Along with pizza and pasta of the day AND a $10 tiramisu!🍒🍹

Babe, wake up. Coco’s just dropped a new pasta special. 🍝🔥

For the next week: guanciale, cherry tomatoes, chili, garlic + pecorino Romano, all tangled up with bucatini — those long, thick spaghetti-like noodles with a little hollow center that are basically made for catching every drop of that rich, spicy, garlicky sauce.

It’s salty, silky, crispy, saucy, a little spicy, ridiculously comforting… basically exactly what you want in a bowl of pasta.

And yes — it’s also our Happy Hour Pasta Special.

We love Renee, and she is a star who needs more screen time . So when she told me she wanted to try the Toasty Takeover Pork One from Fort Greene and their mushroom croissant, I thought to myself… hell yeah. It’s too good to miss. 😂

And honestly? Both dishes were superb.

A huge shoutout to the legends behind Fort Greene, Andrea and Liam, who continue to make some of the most delicious things on K Road. ❤️

The mushroom croissant is on for the rest of the week, and the Toasty Takeover is available until stocks last — so make sure you get in there and check them out!

We love our neighbours. Being part of Karangahape Road means celebrating all the yummy things made by the fantastic people up and down the strip.

So don’t miss the Auckland Mushroom Festival, on until Saturday this weekend! 🍄
