The Golden Dawn's successor finally shows itself; Hoppers, is a bar and eatery with a whimsical theme we can't quite put our finger on.

The moment arrives! Long live - open to the public from tomorrow til the end of time! We stopped in for a #2 and stayed for a fair few tonight ... With 18 taps to try from, an amazing food menu, and personality to boot, we are very happy to recommend you visit these wonderful people who have worked so very hard to transform our shabby old concrete courtyard into something newly magical. Fantastic to be at the opening of Kate Sylvester's new store last night, such a beautiful reimagining of our old dusty bones! Head along and see how they've transformed the space - it's really something, we love it.
As for the courtyard - rumour has it next week is the opening of Hoppers Garden Bar - 18 taps of magnificent beer (including Hallertau we hear!) and a total reinvention of the space. We'll keep you posted, and we couldn't be happier with what's happening in the spaces!xx

As winter drags on and it begins to feel as if it was all a dream, we've enlisted our dear old chum and Dawn faithful Emily Raftery (www.emilyraftery.co.nz) to cook up a little slideshow of just some of the hundreds of unbelievable photos she took on our final night.
