Long before we were all on the dog and bone, news only got as far as the Postman would roam. And early Glenfield was no exception – with a local Postman who truly made his mark on this route. An amputee on an account of a timber saw milling tragedy, he was the type who refused to let life’s mishaps put him on the back foot. Fashioning a footless harness for his horse he ran letters between Birkenh
