This isn't an easy one for us to pen, but the time has come for us to say goodbye to a Ponsonby Rd ‘Hospitality Legend’, Rob. Rob has been with us at Longroom for nearly 4 years. In that time, we've seen Rob go from strength to strength, growing into the great manager and leader he is today.

Over the years, Rob has truly left his mark on the Ponsonby Rd community, whether it be his previous days/nights at Lime & Chapel, or with us here at Longroom, where he delivers a level of hospitality that's hard to duplicate, making every person who walks through our front door feel welcome and right at home, or outside of work, where he has great chat, personality plus, and a sense of humour second to none.

We could rant on about Rob’s contributions, what he means to our business, and to our Longroom family & Ponsonby community. It's fair to say that Rob’s departure will leave big shoes to fill.

Rob, thank you for every ounce of blood, sweat & tears (and there have been a few) you've put into loving and nurturing Longroom, for creating a great work environment for your team, and for earning respect through your many qualities.

Rob's last late night shift at Longroom will be this Saturday, 17 October, so call in and have a farewell drink with Rob, he’d love to see you and share a story or two!

Rob, here's to your future. We’re excited to see what you do next. You will be missed by many current and past members of our Longroom family, along with plenty of our customers who you have looked after so well over the years!

Heading to Eden Park? Start the day with us from 3pm for pre-match hospitality and the return of our rotisserie porchetta.

Not heading to the stadium? Settle in and catch All Blacks v Wallabies live on the big screens from 7pm, with kick-off at 7:10pm. We’ll keep things going post-match ’til late.
