With 2025 coming to a close, we wish everyone a very happy N**e Year! May 2026 be the year where you take that leap into the great unknown. Never tried naturism? Why not give it a go! Any naturist you meet would have taken that leap and they never looked back. What do you have to loose? Nothing 🙂 What do you have to gain? Everything! Why do it? For yourself. Nobody else 💚

National N**e Gardening Day - Saturday 25 October

As part of National Gardening Week (20–27 October), the NZ Naturist Federation (NZNF) is inviting Kiwis to ditch their daks and get into the garden this N**e Gardening Day.
N**e Gardening Day traditionally takes place on the Saturday of Labour Weekend. This year’s theme, ‘Communities in bloom’ aims to make communities better through gardening – growing social connections, boosting mental health, nurturing green spaces as well as growing your own food for freshness and financial freedom.
Fiona Arthur from Yates says National N**e Gardening Day is all about connecting with nature.
“Whether you’re a card-carrying club nudist, a late-night skinny dipper or just curious about a life less clothed, this is your chance to discover gardening in the buff,” says Arthur. “No need to worry about getting grass stains on your clothes and a great opportunity to soak up some Vitamin D.”
Alice de Wet, President of the NZ Naturist Federation says this year’s National Gardening Week theme is the perfect fit. “Naturism is about community, freedom and being at ease in your own skin. Getting your gear off and getting your hands in the soil is one of life’s simple pleasures – it’s the ultimate way to feel closer to nature.”
The NZNF represents around 1,200 members and has 17 naturist clubs across New Zealand. Its ethos is centred on family, wellbeing, and the joy of living naturally. Many families – sometimes three generations strong – enjoy nudism together in a safe, supportive community.

N**e Gardening Day is your invitation to get a little cheeky and discover the freedom of gardening au naturel.
Ways to celebrate N**e Gardening Day:
• W**d and plant summer vegies
• Create a ‘bee buffet’ – plant flowers that attract pollinators
• Trim bushes and hedges (careful with sharp tools)
• Enjoy a picnic among the plants
• Lie on the lawn and daydream
• Invite the neighbours around for a BBQ

So go on, New Zealand – throw off your clothes, grab your gardening gloves and let your garden - and your confidence - bloom.

Happy St Patrick's Day everyone! ☘️ We had a great St Patrick's event at AONC on Saturday. With pub music, dancing, body paint, special St Patrick's drinks at the bar, and activities for the little ones. Family friendly events for all ages amongst like-minded naturists is what we are all about! 🍀

Getting ready for our annual Oranui Games this long weekend, as we prepare for 90+ people who have registered, our campsites & accommodation all booked up. The INF-FNI today leads a global coalition of 30 nations challenging Meta’s censorship and demanding fairness for body positivity and naturism.

An open letter emphasizes that this issue goes beyond naturism, calling attention to how censorship of non-sexual nudity perpetuates body shame and undermines the promotion of body positivity. It calls for platforms to adopt fairer and more consistent moderation practices.

Naturist federations from six continents are participating in this initiative.

Stéphane Deschênes, President of INF-FNI, said “Unjust censorship is not only unfair to our community but also sends a damaging message to society that the human body is inherently shameful. Social media has the power to normalize inclusivity and body positivity, but it’s time for change.”
