The Auckland Jazz and Blues Club (AJBC) was formed in 1992 to further the interests of jazz and blues in Auckland.

Each night features a different local or out of town band for the entertainment. Sometimes an International star makes an appearence. Steaming hot jazz every club night with the music styles ranging from traditional dixieland, bebop, modern jazz, jazz vocals, swing jazz and big band jazz. AJBC members $15

An evening of piano music and stories to pay tribute to Mike (Spike) Walker, ex AJBC President and pianist extraordinaire. All pianists had a connection with Mike. Mike sadly passed away during May this year.

MEMORIES OF MIKE WALKER (A Pride of Pianists)

A tribute evening to Mike Walker. An evening of piano players who all had links to our late (great) President Mike (Spike) Walker who passed away on 26 May 2026.

The evening will be celebrating the talents of six pianists who will share a story and play something that Mike would have been pleased to have heard. There are also some surprises from the archive.
