दोस्रो ग्याल्पो ल्होसार कप स्नुकर प्रतियोगिता अर्को वर्षका लागि स्थगित

काठमाडौं । ग्याल्पो ल्होसार कप स्नुकर प्रतियोगिताको दोस्रो संस्करण आगामी वर्षका लागि स्थगित गरिएको छ। कपनस्थित ‘बेस क्याम्प स्नुकर एण्ड रेस्टुरेन्ट’ आयोजकले यस वर्ष निर्वाचनका कारणले प्रतियोगिता सञ्चालन गर्न नसकिएको जनाएको छ।

बेस क्याम्प स्नुकर एण्ड रेस्टुरेन्टका अध्यक्ष पासाङ शेर्पाका अनुसार ग्याल्पो ल्होसार कप स्नुकर प्रतियोगिताको पहिलो संस्करण सन् २०२५ मा सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न भएको थियो। तर यस वर्ष निर्वाचनका कारण धेरै सहभागी तथा समुदायका सदस्यहरू गाउँमै व्यस्त रहने भएकाले प्रतियोगिता आगामी वर्ष आयोजना गर्ने निर्णय गरिएको उनले जानकारी दिए।

उनले भने, “यस पटक हामीले प्रतियोगिता आयोजना गर्न सकेनौं। धेरैजसो मानिसहरू निर्वाचनका कारण गाउँमै हुनुहुन्छ, त्यसैले यो वर्षका लागि प्रतियोगिता स्थगित गरेका हौं। आगामी वर्ष गत वर्षभन्दा अझ भव्य र व्यवस्थित रूपमा प्रतियोगिता आयोजना गर्नेछौं। सकेसम्म अघिल्लो संस्करणभन्दा बढी खेलाडी सहभागी गराउने हाम्रो योजना छ। त्यसका लागि अहिले देखिनै तयारी सुरु गरेका छौं।”

उनका अनुसार आगामी वर्ष पुरस्कार रकम पनि पहिलो संस्करणभन्दा बढाइनेछ। खेलाडीहरूलाई तयारी अवस्थामा रहन उनले अनुरोध गरेका छन्।

गत वर्ष सम्पन्न प्रतियोगितामा ६४ जना खेलाडी सहभागी भएका थिए। उक्त प्रतियोगितामा चोपेल शेर्पाले उपाधि जित्दै नगद १ लाख १० हजार रुपैयाँ पुरस्कार प्राप्त गरेका थिए। ल्हाक्पा छिरिङ शेर्पा प्रथम उपविजेता बनेका थिए भने उनले नगद ५५ हजार रुपैयाँ प्राप्त गरेका थिए।

त्यसैगरी, निमानुर्बु शेर्पा र फुरी शेर्पाले संयुक्त रूपमा द्वितीय उपविजेता स्थान हासिल गर्दै जनही १५ हजार रुपैयाँ प्राप्त गरेका थिए। यसैगरी, ‘हाइएस्ट ब्रेक’ तर्फ २० हजार रुपैयाँ पुरस्कार प्रदान गरिएको शेर्पाले जानकारी दिए ।

अध्यक्ष शेर्पाले ग्याल्पो ल्होसारको अवसरमा शेर्पा समुदायबीच एकता प्रवर्द्धन गर्ने तथा खेल संस्कृतिलाई प्रोत्साहन गर्ने उद्देश्यले प्रतियोगिता आयोजना गरिएको बताए।

उनका अनुसार स्नुकर खेल अन्य खेलभन्दा फरक र मानसिक एकाग्रता, रणनीति तथा शरीर सन्तुलन आवश्यक पर्ने खेल भएकाले स्वास्थ्यका लागि लाभदायक मानिन्छ। विश्वका विभिन्न देशमा लोकप्रिय रहँदै आएको यस खेललाई प्रवर्द्धन गर्ने उद्देश्यले प्रतियोगितालाई प्रत्येक वर्ष निरन्तरता दिइने पनि शेर्पाले बताए।
