MS Vulkana - Spa & Adventures The Vulkana was built in 1957, designed for seasonal fishing. In spring she hunted whale around Spitzbergen.

Vulkana is designed to offer our guests a sense of calm and escapism, welcoming them to enjoy a Northern Norwegian spa experience from start to finish — featuring a traditional Finnish sauna, wood-fired hot tub, and Turkish hammam. During the summer she fished for herring, while in the winter drift nets were laid for cod and po***ck. In 2009, architect Sami Rintala carefully redesigned the vessel,

utilizing her traditional shape. Where once 60 tons of cod were stored, there is now a Japanese inspired Zen Lounge and a Turkish hammam. The main deck features a wood-fired sauna, and a restaurant that seats up to 12. A viewing deck and a saltwater hot tub are available on deck.
