For more than ten years I'm organizing salons in Zoetermeer. But since it became Milonga La Morocha it is what I had in mind. I took the risk to do it without lessons, just dancing with good DJ's. And yes, it paid off, it attracted dancers, a fixed group started to come. I still love the floor the professional sound system and the lighting. Bit by bit I learned what it means to host a milonga. Not being the teacher, but the host. And without help of people at the reception I couldn't do it alone.
Unfortunately, because of subsidy reasons and offering the space for more parties in Zoetermeer, CKC can't host me and Milonga La Morocha anymore, after July. I will keep on teaching on the Wednesdays with Lucas in an other beautiful room with wooden floor. But the milonga won't be there anymore. Behind the scenes we're looking for alternatives and probably there will be one pop up Milonga La Morocha next year. But for sure no monthly event...
I will certainly miss it. And I will miss you! Let's enjoy this last one, this Sunday.
