Conversas Rotterdam Conversas is a series of bi-weekly informal meetings made so that we can get to know and discuss projects and interests. Everyone is welcome. Entrance is free

During the event, three Conversadores (those who talk at Conversas) bring something to share with the gathered group, for thirty minutes each. As the title suggests itself, Conversas (Conversations in Portuguese) offer an equal set up from which all can benefit. There's beer for 2โ‚ฌ (donation for the next publication). Conversas is a project initiated in Lisbon by Constanรงa Saraiva and Mafalda Fern

New AI systems may enable earlier, more objective, and consistent diagnoses, with some even detecting disease directly from medical images. Lizanne wants to start a conversation about AI in healthcare: should it advise doctors, or make decisions on its own?

Employing a combination of analog and computer-based image-making methods, Agata aims to untangle the tension between her internalized suspicion of positivity and the coexisting urge for hope and resolution while maintaining critical distance.

Last week was another beautiful evening at Conversas ๐ŸŒˆ

From the need to share our work with othersโ€”or whether making art can also be enough in itselfโ€”to a deeply personal story that was met with care, openness, and respect, and finally to a conversation about creating a space to open up and share with other Rotterdam artists.

Thank you to everyone who came, listened, asked questions, and helped make the evening what it was. And a special thank you to everyone who stayed afterward to help tidy up the spaceโ€”it made the end of the evening wonderfully quick.
