Traces from night two, held for the collection.

moved through every contrast with us that night. Rhythmic, raw, and bouncy. Hypnotic, calm, and meditative. Cloaked in smoke and kissed by fresh breeze. We laid out elements without order or direction, for you to shape and find your own way through. Everyone left with their own reading of the night.

One more night of shaking walls (among other things).
We’re all becoming scarily good at colouring outside the lines. The picture is getting more and more intricate. All those interwoven storylines made sure the night is now burnt into our memory in a thousand flashes. And we’re nowhere near done.

Do you often take a moment to observe the space surrounding you? Notice how it makes you feel?

We are thrilled to share that is joining us tomorrow. Through her installation Forms of Refractions, she invites us into a space for quiet attention and an intangible sensory encounter.

Ayşe draws inspiration from early optical devices and uses uses light, fire, projection and reflection to create what can’t be held still, what shifts and vanishes. Her installations live and breathe with their surroundings, never the same twice.

Find Forms of Refractions at tomorrow, and give yourself a chance to be present with it.

Field recordings. Club recordings? Soundscapes? Dance-scapes? All of it.

Someone’s careful lens caught us right in the midst of it, capturing those raw, heated January moments. We love dancing! In the front, in a corner, on a platform. Frenetically and in energy-saving mode. Thank you for taking up the space with us.

The dust has just started settling from our last get-together, and the new one is already afoot. What to expect? Who’s at the decks?

We are keeping the lineup unannounced. This treasure will remain buried until we’re back on the dancefloor. Should we disinter it anyway? Maybe our spotlights for the night will stay off. Trust us, take a leap. Expect rowdy.

Lookit, this is a admiration post. This Saturday we’re taking care of the club night portion of the first Hybrid Presents with , and . This spinoff of our yearly collaboration .festival takes its natural position within VERA’s unparalleled history full of experiment and counterculture.

From hosting some of the office’s alltime favourites over the past 40+ years — last year’s book featuring 50 years of VERA posters is a real treasure trove — to a continued eye on the up ‘n coming and three fantastic editions of co-creating, producing and curating our festival; this place never ceases to spark our sonic imagination. Happy to make another contribution this weekend.

Groningen’s cultural heavyweights — and (👀) included — have stepped up and welcomed us with open arms over the past half a year. Something we won’t ever take for granted. Hugs and kisses!
