Do you already feel the floor shaking under your feet? Within a couple of days, we enter the frenzy. Making connections, hurtling through the room to Woody92’s techno vortex. One where you’ll get lost in the fog, follow the lights, drop into a cave and wash out the other side.

We’re proud and immensely excited to announce that Heleen Blanken’s HABITAT will be on full display during Unclubbed #4 on September 4th. Getting deeply touched by this large scale installation at Clash in 2021 – and by Heleen Blanken’s complete oeuvre over the past decade – the work now finally returns to Groningen.

During the entire club night it will be wrapping the second room in stunning audiovisual phrases. HABITAT consists of data driven projections in which 3D scans of organic specimens from the Naturalis such as corals, fossils and stones are translated to a life-sized environment. It brings a deep sense of immersion in the digital archival of natural phenomena. Simultaneously it visualises how even our quiet presence alone strongly impacts the natural world.

A work to take a seat for, spend some time with, and ponder while you walk back to the dance floor.

From 0 to mach 1 in six hours: Unclubbed’s season opening flicks us right through the sound barrier. For the special occasion we’re inviting a true luminary with whom we’ve shared more than a couple otherworldly club nights over the past 10 years. Woody92’s otherworldly techno tapestries are about to roll into Grand Theatre. Local mad chefs gurb and Rilou complete the main room lineup.

On September 4th we’re back on the city’s no.1 balcony. A little breather, a heartfelt chat, shoulder to shoulder with that new friend you just made. We’ll never get over standing on top of the world in those couple of square metres.

Strobing memories with the usual suspects pulling strings and stealing the scene. One year flicked past in fast cuts – very sharp and tender, but never cut to black. We are eternally grateful for the warmth and chaos that have been charging us for a whole decade. And for it never fading. Thank you for keeping the bond and keeping the current alive – true lovers of the game!
And the game is still on – unclubbed and unstoppable.

Tomorrow is act three! Club, pub, and theatre are joining forces. Unclubbed is back on stage.
