ORKZ BAR The ORKZ BAR is part of ORKZ, an old hospital in Groningen that was squatted in 1979 and legalised. We are an 16+ yo DIY venue, run by ORKZ inhabitants.

The ORKZ-bar is part of the ORKZ, a legalised squat in the south of Groningen. Located in the old kitchens of the former Roman-Catholic hospital, the bar is run by volunteers that live here and usually open from 22:00 till late (except mondays and wednesdays). Instagram:

A NEW FESTIVAL AT ORKZ IN 2026!

It's time to save some dates! On May 1st and May 2nd the 2026 edition of DIY fest will take place at ORKZ BAR 💥

This epic Festival always took place in The Onderbroek in Nijmegen. With music, vegan food, critical thinking and doing it yourself at its base. In 2026 they are moving the festival North. To Groningen. The importantly reason for this move was that a little bit more space was needed for the festival. That space has been found at ORKZ.

It will be 3 days of bands, friends, food, dancing and overall fun stuff. 2 of those days will be organised at Orkz Bar! The dates at Orkz are Friday 1 May and Saturday 2 May 2026. So save these dates!

Ticket will go on sale at the beginning of the new year, and first band announcements will happen before the end of the year on the social media channels of DIY fest and Orkz Bar. Check the event here: https://www.facebook.com/share/1GVdzAZ7pu/
