SPOKEN111 - Khas & Selene
For this newest mix release, we bring together Selene and Khas. Both are close friends of the collective and familiar faces within the Groningen scene and beyond.
It felt only right to unite these two forces. Through her collective RIOT, Selene is at the forefront of building a community for creating a safer space for women in electronic music. Meanwhile, Khas has been releasing phenomenal music that has found its way to many dancefloors.
This is what they had to say about the mix:
“The idea to bring us together for a B2B podcast came at exactly the right moment. Shortly after, we were also asked to play our first live B2B at Paradigm. So, we decided to take our time and record a longer set.
We both love creating journeys through experimentation, layering different sounds, percussion, textures and hypnotic atmospheres. We agreed on a BPM range, but everything else happened on the spot. Almost instantly, we entered a zone and stayed there throughout the mix.
How would we describe it? A journey through space, sometimes weightless, sometimes intense, moving into the unknown and letting the music decide where we would end up.”
