What do hot dogs, cold brew and sports have in common? Six to seven different kinds of hot dogs, no less than twelve types of specialty draft beers and about six TV screens with sports on make you never want to go home again. The first thing that pops up when you enter the Underdog Café is the impressive bar. Better said, you can't miss it. The 80-year old bar comes from an

old horse-riding center and invites you to take place, whether you would like a drink or a snack. The owner Nick op ’t Veld describes the Underdog Café as a sports bar with a dive bar feeling. A place where everybody can feel at home and where different types of people sit down and drink a beer together. The bar is a perfect fit! The Underdog Café will be open seven days a week, from noon until night. This way you can grab a quick lunch, have a tasty snack while watching a sports game, but also satisfy your late appetite at night. Naturally you can have an excellent dinner in an easy-going environment as well. At the Underdog Café you’ll mostly hear 80s/90s fresh Old School Hip Hop and Funky Soul sounds. But that description actually doesn’t do justice to the concept. The Underdog Café is secretly so much more when it comes to music. Everyone who grew up with MTV’s The Grind Block Parties and the episodes of Yo Raps immediately knows the type of vibe we’re talking about. And the music that you’ll hear, you’ll see! If there’s no live sports on, the real-time videos of the music that you hear will be broadcasted on the TV screens. The intended audience is young and working, internationally oriented. We focus on locals as well as tourists and expats. Everybody who feels at home here, is welcome. The basic thought is that you can also eat a hot dog here “quickly and by yourself”. And this works in two ways. You can grab a hot dog and a drink but leave shortly after. But it also applies to the individual. Meaning that at the Underdog Café you can easily sit by yourself at the bar. You’ll might come in alone, but you will never feel this way. The Underdog Café has no less than twelve types of specialty draft beers. Besides ‘Brand Ongefilerd’, we are the first Dutch bar to have three different beers of the Californian brand Lagunitas. Lagunitas is already available in bottles at other bars but the Underdog Café is, at this moment, the only place where Lagunitas is served fresh from the tap. It’s brewed without supplements in sunny California and is chilled, transported and saved. In a sassy manner the Underdog Café serves the beers in an ice-cold jar straight from the freezer. When thinking of hot dogs, you quickly imagine the wet buns they serve at Ikea. Don’t do this. Ever again. The hot dogs at the Underdog Café are made of excellent high-quality meat. A New York style Frankfurter sausage that is shortly roasted for a nice and crispy bite. The hot dogs vary from a classic German hot dog with sauerkraut and bacon to a cheese dog and a chili dog with homemade chili sauce. At the Underdog Café you’ll also find a hot dog with sour cream and spring onion.
