Mini-theater "De Melkbus" is een unieke locatie net buiten het centrum van Dordrecht waar we kleinschalige prive huiskamerconcertjes organiseren (max. 50 personen). Daarnaast organiseren we diverse workshops. De theaterruimte wordt ook verhuurd o.a. als oefenruimte voor bijvoorbeeld een band of theatergroepjes. Stuur ons een email voor meer informatie! Here's the next episode of the special series "Music Around De Melkbus". This time it's my son Max, my dearest friend Jan-Kees Groeneveld and myself playing one of our favorite Chris Stapleton songs called "Fire Away".

Just recently I have reorganized my living room as you might have noticed. Sometimes that's just necessary! I've created a cosy couch corner and a dining table with some more room... all the more reasons to sit on this table with friends and family to enjoy and drink to life!

I've already introduced Max and Kees in earlier videos, but I just have to say that it's such an incredible joy to play with them!

The next video in the special series "Music Around De Melkbus". So Bang Bang Bazooka 's lead guitar player and dear friend Francois Besson stayed a weekend in my Bed & Breakfast and I told him about this series. The theatre toilet was one of the open spots around De Melkbus and he immediately said: "Oh, I'd like to do that one!". So here he is playing an old song "My Baby She Don't Love Me" in his own very unique way!

The theatre toilet is unique in it's kind; built as a kind of a weird outboard extension of the first floor, but hey, it works! It was beautifully and stylishly redecorated by the amazing Koko Loko Schut a few years back.

Francois Besson is one of the most amazing musicians I was fortunate to play with since 2009 when I started with Bang Bang Bazooka. His unique way of playing, his sound! Love it...

Here's another very special episode of the special series "Music Around De Melkbus". My daughter Charlie came to me and said: "Daddy, I also want to be in those videos you are making because you have to do the kids room too, so I wrote 3 songs!". She asked my son Max to write the chords to the songs; they rehearsed and here they are!! Of course beautifully and silently supported by my other daughter Alice

And on with the next episode of the special series "Music Around De Melkbus"!
Here's the beautiful and so talented Vera Baldé from Dordrecht playing her favorite song on the lower terras right at the waterfront. The song she's playing called "Funny Little Frog" (Belle & Sebastian).

The lower terras is the place where the sun is shining all day (when it's shining) and where the most beautiful flowers grow in July/August. Also you can take the little rowing boat from there and just row around the lake a bit on a nice sunny day.

Vera Baldé is a great, very talented singer with a breath taking appearance. She told me that she grew up mainly listening to undergound music which is not always the happiest genre and in comparison to that this song has always put a smile on her face. And in these crazy times we do need that smile!

The next episode in the special series "Music Around De Melkbus": the young and very talented Daniel from Dordrecht is playing the Bryan Adams song "Walk On By" on the couch in my livingroom.

The couch in my livingroom... what to say about that? Well... the sound of my ass crashing down on it, falling asleep in 2 minutes and waking up at 4 a.m. in the morning still on the couch practically says it all!

Francesco Daniel is a very talented and nice young fellow on his way to make is mark! He told me that when he was about 17 years old he saw Bryan Adams performing this song solo and live in De Doelen in Rotterdam. Bryan's performance made a huge impression on him and triggered him to really start doing something with his talent; have a look at and listen to the result! Enjoy!

So, and on we go in the special series "Music Around De Melkbus" with my dearest friends and great musicians Jan-Kees Groeneveld and Ingrid Wassink (DOGWOOD) playing their songs "Mesmerize" on the living room balcony.

This balcony watches out over the little lake behind the house and for me it's a place to chill in the morning with some coffee and watch all the wild life on and in the lake; many different birds, huge schools of carp and occasionally even a beaver!

Kees and Ingrid are founding members of the new country/roots band Dogwood. Also I have had great times with them doing a lot of shows and making 2 small albums with the band Golly Gosh Darn. Kees is also a member of The Groovy Gents.
