| Was je niet bij het Pegasus Wandelfestival, maar wil je wel graag een boeiende wandeling mét historie lopen? We hebben 3 wandelroutes van 15, 35 en 25 kilometer die je het hele jaar gratis kunt wandelen. Bij deze routes hoort een podwalk. Tijdens het wandelen luister je via je telefoon naar verhalen over de plekken waar je langs komt.

Onderweg hoor je de stem van verteller Truus Lockhorn en oud-militair Ed van Seters. Zij vertellen over de spannende gebeurtenissen van 1944. Er zijn drie wandelingen van 15, 35 of 25 kilometer. Elke wandeling volgt het verhaal van een bijzondere militair:

➡️ 15 kilometer: volg het verhaal van generaal John Hackett. Hij landde op 18 september 1944 op de Ginkelse Heide. Wat maakte hij mee tijdens de Slag om Arnhem?

➡️ 35 kilometer: wandel in de voetsporen van majoor Digby Tatham-Warter. Hij was één van de militairen die dankzij Operatie Pegasus I wist te ontsnappen.

➡️ 25 kilometer: ontdek het verhaal van kolonel Graeme Warrack. Na de Slag om Arnhem bleef hij achter om gewonde militairen te verzorgen. Later deed hij mee aan Operatie Pegasus II. Na een lange en gevaarlijke tocht bereikte hij in februari 1945 alsnog bevrijd gebied.

It’s very quiet this week in the Walstraat here in Arnhem !

Thank you to all our friends, old and new, that came to mark the 82nd commemoration of Operation Market Garden with us 🆎 it really was a fantastic weekend !

🌷As the municipality’s get ready for the Remembrance Commemorations, this has just come up on my feed and I wanted to share it🌷

Geoff Roberts is the only surviving Arnhem veteran making the journey this year. On the right side of our banner, he appears as he is today—while in the mirror, he sees himself reflected as the young soldier he once was.
We have placed this massive banner on the scaffolding in his honor, and in honor of all his comrades.
026 Vastgoed has strong ties to the Arnhem region, and every day we are mindful of the freedom we enjoy. That freedom cannot be taken for granted. We are deeply grateful.
A small gesture, yet one of great significance.

Als enige veteraan maakt Geoff Roberts dit jaar de overtocht. Aan de rechterzijde van ons spandoek staat hij zoals hij nu is – en in de spiegel ziet hij zichzelf terug als de jonge soldaat die hij ooit was.
Voor hem, en voor al zijn kameraden, hebben wij dit mega doek aan de steiger geplaatst.
026 Vastgoed heeft een sterke binding met de regio Arnhem en wij zijn ons elke dag bewust van de vrijheid waarin wij mogen leven. Die vrijheid is niet vanzelfsprekend. Wij zijn enorm dankbaar.
Een klein gebaar, maar met een grote betekenis.
