‘Het Collectief', en 'uitgaans' ondernemer Leonardo Belloni slaan handen ineen om weer een leuke zaterdag 'Amsterdamsche' clubavond op te zetten, genaamd KAMER178.

De zaterdag 'Club' avond in Amsterdam is al een lange tijd een avond voor mensen die buiten de stad wonen, en waar de festivals in de zomer de bovenhand spelen. Wie vaak iets probeert vanuit 'club' verband, krijgt dikwijls een calvinistisch verwijt naar zijn hoofd geslingerd. Drie ondernemers hebben nu die kritiek ter harte genomen, en slaan nu de handen ineen.

'Het Collectief', bestaande uit Tjeerd Doornbos, vroeger bekend van evenementen zoals Osi Darap in Paradiso, Wilde Renate ism Magneet Festival, en reclameman Bart Hendrikx, gaan nu dus de zaterdag avond weer proberen leven in te brengen. Bart, 'dit moet leiden tot een vrije Berlijns geïnspireerde avond met een exclusief tintje, waar mensen een goede sound krijgen voorgedragen. En met liefde worden behandeld, en een glimlach worden ontvangen.'

Leonardo Belloni is bekend van venues zoals Café Panache, Americano, Carter en de Marktkantine.

Curtain Club is een volledig gerenoveerde, intieme, max 200 personen sfeer locatie, die onlangs hun deuren hebben geopend, en een initiatief van drie ondernemers, namelijk, Leonardo Belloni, Steve Verhaaf en Daan Bonsen.

'Het verliep allemaal heel organisch', zegt Leonardo. "Bart en ik kennen elkaar al meer dan 15 jaar vanuit onze studenten tijd in Amsterdam, we hadden beide het gevoel dat er weer een sterke zaterdagavond in de stad moest komen.'

'Bij het zaterdag avond concept zullen we in het begin nooit de namen van de DJ's vermelden. Dit past simpelweg niet bij onze gedachte van een leuke clubavond, zegt Tjeerd. Iedereen staat in dienst van een concept met een verhaallijn in de muziek, die groovy, zeer dansbaar, en toch wel underground zal aanvoelen. Ook willen we talent een kans gaan geven. Het draait bij ons echt om het gevoel van de avond. KAMER178 moet echt weer eens een keer reuring in de stad gaan brengen onder de Amsterdammers.'

De eerste avond is op 27 augustus aanstaande. KAMER178 begint om 23:59 en zal voor deze editie open zijn tot 06:00.

Curtain Club bevindt zich aan de Amstel 178, 1017 AE te Amsterdam, vlakbij de Stopera waar vroeger Club Roque zat.
