Nieuwe-Tini — a silky, boozy, and complex take on the Vodka Martini.

Nieuw-West as an area is a story of paradox and organic growth. First of all, it’s actually home to a neighbourhood that’s older than the city of Amsterdam itself. What we have today is the result of massive organic growth, driven by people and communities.

Our Nieuwe-Tini reflects that by looking at different contexts and the cascading effects found throughout the histories of different geographies around the world.

We start with a blend of vodka and scotch, giving us a really lovely backbone for the rest of the drink. Then we introduce a little barley’d sake, before bringing everything together with a touch of sugar and some orange bitters.

The result is a beautiful, off-dry Martini with a lovely texture.

🌾 Nieuw-West might be one of Amsterdam’s newest boroughs, but tucked within it is Sloten — a village that actually predates Amsterdam itself!

Founded in 992, Sloten was once surrounded by farms and windmills that helped support the growing city. Centuries later, the area was incorporated into Amsterdam and reimagined as a spacious, utopian garden neighbourhood.

But Nieuw-West continued to change. From the 1980s onwards, migration brought new communities to the area, and today around 150 different ethnicities have helped shape a neighbourhood that feels like a world of its own.

Our Nieuwe-Tini reflects those layers of adaptation and restructuring, using ingredients that nod to the area’s past in a silky, boozy, complex take on the Vodka Martini.

Lyan All Star — Mary Pickford!

This our party starter take on a tiki-style drink — still sweet, punchy and full of tropical flavour, but a little more refined and elegant.

We blend different rums with saffron, pineapple, warming spices, and apricot, before crowning it with a float of Malbec. The w**e adds beautiful notes of cherry, fruit and spice, giving the drink even more depth.

It's one of the bestsellers on the menu, and it absolutely deserves to be — says Lorenzo!

Orchard W**e, celebrating one of Amsterdam’s most vibrant areas!

For this tropical serve, we use Dutch orchard fruits like apples and pears, alongside tropical guava. We ferment everything with Sauvignon Blanc yeast for five days, then spike it with Johnnie Walker Black Ruby, combined with cold-brew black tea for florality.

It’s sophisticated, but still full of character, reflecting the neighbourhood that inspired it — vibrant, diverse, and full of tropical influences.

Zuidoost is often overlooked, sitting out on the southwest edge of the city. But it's also one of Amsterdam's most diverse and multicultural neighbourhoods. During the city's biggest waves of immigration, people settled here and built thriving communities.

The Orchard White is our celebration of that spirit of coexistence, says John.

We start with a w**e serve layered with orchard fruits, mango, and guava, before spiking it with Johnnie Walker Black Ruby.

It’s super fun, elegant and sophisticated, yet unmistakably tropical — a real party starter with deep flavour and an incredibly expressive aroma.

Perfect Serve returns to Amsterdam next month, and to celebrate, we’re welcoming two concepts to Super Lyan, for one night only!

Founded in Athens by Alexandros Tselepis, Konstantinos Theodorakopoulos, and Simeon Papanikolaou, The Bar in Front of the Bar is known for its urban fine drinking, ever-changing daily menu, and commitment to zero-waste hospitality. Hidden behind it is Rumble in the Jungle — an intimate, boxing-and-jungle-themed speakeasy, complete with its own tiger… yep, really.

Named No. 2 in the inaugural Europe's 50 Best Bars list, and No. 47 in The World's 50 Best Bars 2025, they're bringing both experiences to Amsterdam, complete with their very own DJ.

The Bar in Front of the Bar will take over our main space, while Rumble in the Jungle transforms the Living Room, September 9th, 20:00 ‘til late, walk-ins welcome!

🍏 Zuidoost is one of the most culturally diverse urban areas in Europe, with a population shaped largely by migration from Suriname and the Dutch Caribbean, alongside subsequent waves of arrivals from Africa, Asia, and beyond.

Over time, the neighbourhood has become one of the most vibrant parts of the city, with an incredible sense of community.

Over 150 denominations of churches share space here — a spirit of coexistence that inspired our tropical and golden Orchard W**e.

We start with a blend of Dutch orchard fruits, spiked with green mango, and guava w**e, combined with Johnnie Walker Black Ruby.

The golden and silky notes of the wh**ky elevate the green freshness and decadence of the serve, finished with fragrant green herbs, which pull you back to the refreshing, soothing core of the drink.

Meet the Team — !

Originally from "all over" the US, Asher moved to Amsterdam three months ago, making him our newest team member.

He's partial to a Bamboo, a classic wh**ky cocktail, or a Boulevardier in the winter — and at Super Lyan, he can’t get enough of our 020 Martinez, and halloumi fries with tomato chutney.

On days off, you’ll find Asher hanging out with his kid and partner at the park, and exploring his new hometown. So far, he loves Taxman, Sins of Sal, Advocatuur, Cafe Vita Lente, and KID.

His secret talent is writing for LGBTQ-themed fiction on the internet, and he knows every word of Smash Mouth's 1999 hit All Star.

No pets, but his toddler has an imaginary puppy called Homan!

Tattie Colada — Andy’s favourite drink on our menu!

We start with very starchy Dutch potatoes and use amylase to break the starches down into fermentable sugars. We then ferment them with Ch*****ne yeast for a day, opening up the flavours and creating these incredible tropical notes of mango and passion fruit.

It's one of those drinks that feels like you've had it before, even though you almost certainly haven't. The tropical flavours are instantly familiar, but still layered and complex.

Refreshing, tropical, delicious.
