Already a month ago, we closed the doors of Bar Bario...

To honor everything Bario has been over the past 4.5 years, we gathered for a closing exhibition, an artist market, and, of course, an unforgettable final party.

We took a little time to sit with all the emotions that came with saying goodbye, but now we’re ready to share these beautiful moments, captured by , from that last night together at Bario.

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible DJs and performers (   
 henriette  .vineyard) who made the evening so special, and to our amazing team. And of course to everyone who showed up, took an ungodly amount of shots, danced, cried, and celebrated with us one last time at Bar Bario, thank you so much ❤️

We can’t believe it’s already our final week… We’re so sad to close off this chapter, but we’re looking forward to welcoming every single one of you for the last time in our space. An Ode to Bar Bario - The Final Exhibition this Thursday 4-9PM

After 4.5 years, with over 600 events and 65 exhibitions created for and by our Q***r, Trans and BIPOC community, this physical space is closing.

This is the final exhibition at Bar Bario, an ode to what the space has meant to the community it was created to serve - as a safer space, a living room, and a creative hub.

All the works in this exhibition are created by people who have worked at Bar Bario, are part of its community, or have contributed to the space in meaningful ways. The exhibition centers themes of belonging, feeling at home and finding community.

It has been shaped by the people who have passed through Bario, those who have contributed to it, worked within it, and helped define its atmosphere and values. It brings together a diverse range of artistic mediums, including illustration, lighting, photography, oil painting, and scent-based work.

The works revolve around what Bar Bario has meant to each artist as a community space, while also offering broader reflections on community and the feeling of home.

Alongside the exhibition opening, we will host a farewell Arts & Crafts Community Market, celebrating the artists who have shaped this space over the years, whether through organizing events, participating in exhibitions, or contributing in other meaningful ways. The market will feature a variety of art pieces, prints, delicious food, and even live tattooing.

An Ode to Bar Bario - The Final Exhibition this Thursday 4-9PM
