this friday 11.09 & saturday 12.09 aniketh is taking over pam’s kitchen for the first time with Aniketh’s Coastal Bar 🌀
they bring a touch of dreamy coastal monsoons from the western ghats of Indian subcontinent to accompany our rainy city. Offering includes tangy, sweet, spicy, delights to entertain the palate, best paired with some drinks, just like the coastal bars back home. If you’ve had the pleasure of trying their usually sold out pops in Amsterdam Noord at community spaces like murmur or kurumbu, you know they cook with love and their menu satisfies every emotion. Recipes are developed carefully, with locally sourced ingredients, with a practice based on family recipes, ancestrality, simply how knowledge about food is passed down orally often through feminist practices that lay outside of institutions. Currently pursuing their PhD in decolonial philosophy, Aniketh is also a sound artist.
