Unfortunately we get so many requests from bands that we simply can’t process them. If you want to organise an event at the Vrankrijk, please come to our meeting which is in the bar on the first Monday evening of each month at 7pm. Otherwise you can try contacting one of the regular groups that organise events here. Some of these groups are:

ACCOMMODATION
We often get asked by visitors to the city if we can provide accommodation. Unfortunately we cannot help you with this. Your best option is to ask any friends you might have in the city to help you with this. If you don’t know anyone in the city then you’ll just have to try hostels / campings / squats and so on. If you are a traveling band playing at our venue, our organisers will usually arrange for you to stay somewhere close to the Vrankrijk.

ABC Community bike repair event
Is your bike making a weird noise? Do you just need a 15mm wrench to tighten the wheels? Or do you want to pimp your ride? ABC is hosting a community bike repair session at the Vrankrijk on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 13:00-18:00. The next cafe' is Tues May 5!
This event is hosted by the ABC, the Anarchist Bike Collective. We want to truly build bike sharing. With the growing repression on activist and demonstrators it is crucial we build community resources and practice non-violent provocation. Inspired by Provo's white bikes we have been fixing and distributing bikes with combination locks throughout Amsterdam. So if you want to fix your bike, or have ideas on how to source, maintain and utilise true bike sharing come by for a tea.

Anarchist Bike Collective is looking for more ppl who know something about bikes to help guide folks during our events. We are a small non-hierarchical group of anarchists who are right now focused on our bike repair cafe but with more people and time we can bring back our bike-sharing! We are looking for ppl who can help others repair their bikes, and provide some guidance for those with less experience. If you know someone or are someone who would be interested, please come to our next ABC event on Tues May 5 from 13:00-18:00 at the Vrankrijk. Or email us at [email protected]
