What seems to unite us most is a shared instinct to surround ourselves with kind, curious people, and to move through and create spaces shaped by good music and intention. It felt inevitable that our paths would cross. Somewhere in between frequencies and friendships, through Maddi of Interfering Grounds, the connection revealed itself.
Not long after, we (etape) stepped into Multipla for an Afterglow Audio gathering, a market of sound and presence. We left with arms full of records and minds buzzing, struck by the care in every detail, the spatial flow, the sonic depth, the warmth of the people. Something clicked. A quiet knowing that this wasn’t a one time encounter.
From there, we kept returning to each other’s spaces, not just for the music, but for the feeling. Nights where you arrive without expectation, yet leave full. Trusting in the curation, in the surprise, embracing surprise, sharing a language of quality and kindness.
Then, during ADE, Afterglow Audio joined an Etape hosting at Wax Radio. In that moment, somewhere between conversation and sound, the connection deepened. Personally, musically, intuitively. The idea of collaboration was no longer a question.
Since then, we’ve been circling, exchanging ideas, and building momentum. We go back to the place where it began: Multipla. We worked together with Multipla to find a moment where light returns, when rides home are lined with blooming streets, and energy flows a little softer, a little brighter, a little longer.
