Dutch Courage is the cocktailbar owned by Timo Janse on Amsterdam's Zeedijk 12. The bar is an ode to genever and old-Dutch liqueurs, and combines 150 different genevers with a wide variety of genever based cocktails. A first: in the bar you will also find the world's first ‘kopstootjes-automatiek’. Dutch Courage is open 7 days per week, from 5:00 pm to 1 AM SUN-WED and 3 PM-3AM on FR-SAT.

We are honoured to launch our first event surrounding the big event next month! It is none other than Farid, a familiar face to many in the drinks industry, and together with Bobby’s, San Cosme and Three Cents we hope to see you the 30th!

A bartender and consultant based in Frankfurt, Farid brings over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry. From bartender to head bartender, bar & beverage manager, and consultant, his journey reflects dedication to craft and continuous growth.

Over the years, he has been a winner and finalist in numerous international competitions, collaborating with leading brands such as Campari, Bacardi, José Cuervo, Disaronno, and World Class.

Farid has also taken his expertise across Europe as a guest bartender, sharing his knowledge and approach with diverse audiences and bar communities.

At the core of his philosophy is a deep respect for simplicity, a belief that great cocktails don’t require complexity, but understanding, balance, and intention. From Negroni twists to refined classics like Martinis, Daiquiris, and Sours, his work celebrates the essence of timeless drinks.
