Hielander Whisky Festival Alkmaar

It's taken a while to get all the Quaich Challenge winners up to the restaurant to collect their prizes.
Yesterday the last one picked up his prize, again the winners were;
Overall winner
ALEXANDER DE BAAR (session 1)
2nd place;
CHIEL BENNINK (session 2)
3rd place
ROBBERT WIJNKER (session 3)
Again congratulations to all will and a big hand for all our sponsors.

Tonight the Hielander Scottish Restaurant May whisky dinner with Guest speaker Toon van Rooij from HOGSHEAD IMPORTS.
Great menu and some superb drams including a nice wee 50 (fifty!) years old Invergordon.
It's going to be a cracker.

As you all know Hielander Scottish Restaurant organises a special 6 course gourmet dinner accompanied by 6 great drams every month.
(NEXT ONE ON FRIDAY 10TH APRIL, 1 TABLE OVER DUE TO CANCELLATION )
But did you know we also organise these dinners for private groups?

The dinner, presented by the owners of PD, Rob Wijkhuizen and Steven van Aller was a resounding success, great drams and great food.

With great pride for our HWF 2026 visitors , we would like to announce that our QUAICH CHALLENGE BLIND TASTING has now recieved all pledges and the amount we have gathered for the FAMILY HOUSE NOORDWEST is €1560.00 an amazing amount!!
Thanks to all who took part, but most of all thanks to our sponsors who donated Prizes, bottles & time to make the event a success.
