Tanqueray Rangpur (1L, 41.3%)

Nose: Lots of zest on the nose, fresh citrus peel and just-cut botanicals.

Palate: Not as sharp and citric as the nose suggests, instead offering a pleasantly balanced gin flavour that's instantly recognisable as Tanqueray.

Finish: Smooth yet dry and lemony.

Overall: In a word, refreshing! The perfect gin for a G&T on the lawn.

Nose: Caramel and charred oak, a little orange blossom, manuka honey and vanilla.

Palate: Thick and creamy with notes of vanilla, toasty oak, honey again, a little apricot too.

Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla (1L, 41.3%)

Back in the 1860s, Tanqueray creator Charles Tanqueray visited the orange groves of Spain and eventually produced a gin recipe based around the glory of Seville oranges. In early 2018, they released Tanqueray Sevilla Gin, inspired by the recipe written over 140 years ago! If you like your gin to be citrus-focussed and generally excellent, you're in for a sun-soaked treat.

Tasting Note

Crisp juniper and zesty orange flesh, supported by earthy vanilla and allspice.

Hendrick's Midsummer Solstice (70cl, 43.4%)

Nose: Lilac, chamomile, a whisper of raspberry, fragrant juniper and some grassy freshness.

Palate: Coriander, red berries, honey, swiftly followed by another generous wave of vibrant floral elements.

Finish: The final juniper notes are a touch oaky, with rose and clementine in support.

Glenfiddich Vintage Cask (70cl, 40%)

Originally released for Travel Retail, the Glenfiddich Vintage Cask looks back at the style of whisky the renowned distillery in Speyside used to create years and years ago, which was quite peaty indeed. This smoky dram was matured in European oak and bourbon casks, resulting in bundles of wonderful chocolatey fruit notes, pairing rather well with the wafts of coastal air.

The Glenlivet Master Distiller's Reserve - Solera Vatted (100cl, 40%)

One of two new Master Distiller's releases from the summer of 2015, originally for travel retail. The Solera Reserve, like the others in the range, is made up of whiskies matured in ex-Sherry casks

Nose: Caramelised pears and toffee apples. Classic stuff.

Palate: Fruit in syrup with cream, fudge pieces and honeycomb.

Finish: Long with vanilla and honeyed fruit.
